Role Description

Naatchaal is looking for a creative and hands-on Social Media Content Creator to work on Seiyul, our curated marketplace focused on Tamil Nadu-based brands, traditional products, indigenous crafts, and modern everyday products rooted in heritage.

This is a remote contract/freelance role focused on building Seiyul's organic social media presence and growing its audience through consistent, engaging content.

The role involves developing content ideas, planning content calendars, creating Reels, posts and Stories, writing captions, publishing content, and analysing performance to continuously improve what we create.

You will work directly with the team to turn Seiyul's products, stories, traditions, brands and ideas into content that people want to watch, share, save and follow.

Responsibilities

- Plan and maintain a social media content calendar for Seiyul.
- Create short-form video content, particularly Instagram Reels.
- Create static posts, carousels and Stories.
- Write engaging captions, hooks and short-form copy.
- Develop creative content concepts around Seiyul's products, brands, Tamil culture and everyday lifestyle.
- Adapt content for different social platforms and formats.
- Research relevant trends, formats and content opportunities.
- Schedule and publish content consistently.
- Monitor reach, engagement, views, shares, saves and follower growth.
- Use performance insights to improve future content.
- Maintain consistency in Seiyul's visual identity, tone and messaging.
- Engage with comments and relevant audience interactions.




- Work directly with the Naatchaal team to understand products and upcoming campaigns.

What We're Looking For

- Experience creating content for Instagram and other social platforms.
- Strong understanding of Reels and short-form video content.
- Good copywriting and storytelling skills.
- Ability to create robust hooks that capture attention.
- Comfortable using tools such as Canva, Figma, CapCut, Premiere Pro or similar.
- Good understanding of social media analytics and organic growth.
- Ability to turn a product or simple idea into an engaging piece of content.
- Strong written communication skills in English.
- Tamil language/content knowledge is a strong advantage.
- Interest in Tamil culture, traditional products, indigenous brands, sustainability or lifestyle content is a plus.
- Ability to work independently, manage deadlines and take ownership of deliverables.
- A portfolio of previous social media work is preferred.

Engagement

Employment Type: Contract / Freelance

Work Mode: Remote

Duration: Initial contract, with the possibility of continuing based on performance and mutual fit.

This is a hands-on content role. We are looking for someone who can contribute ideas and take ownership of the content process rather than simply execute predefined posts.
