Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Social Media Content Creator. The person in this role will plan, create, and publish engaging content across social media platforms to promote cybersecurity awareness, HackHalt initiatives, and educational programs.

Typical responsibilities include developing content calendars, writing posts and scripts, designing visual assets in collaboration with designers, and adapting complex cyber topics into accessible, audience-friendly content. The role also involves monitoring social media trends, responding to audience interactions, analyzing performance metrics, and optimizing content based on data-driven insights. Collaboration with marketing, training,



and research teams is expected to ensure consistent messaging and alignment with the organization’s mission.

Qualifications

- Solid social media content skills, including copywriting, visual storytelling, and short-form video scripting for platforms such as LinkedIn, Instagram, X, YouTube, and Facebook.
- Experience with social media management tools, content scheduling, and basic analytics to track engagement, reach, and campaign performance.
- Ability to translate technical or cybersecurity concepts into clear, compelling, and accessible content for diverse audiences.
- Proficiency in basic design and multimedia tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Express, or similar) to create graphics, posts, and simple video assets.
- Knowledge of digital marketing principles, including audience targeting, brand consistency, and community engagement.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and strong command of grammar and style.
- Proactive, organized, and comfortable working independently in a remote environment, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Interest or foundational knowledge in cybersecurity, technology, or online safety; prior experience in these areas is an advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Communications, Marketing, Media Studies, Journalism, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and openness to feedback and iterative content improvement.
