We work across websites, software products, digital marketing, social media, branding and technology solutions for clients across different industries.

We are looking for a Social Media Content Creator who can take ownership of social media content for Meld Techo and its clients — from coming up with ideas and writing content to shooting short-form videos, coordinating creatives, publishing posts and analysing performance.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys being on camera or behind the camera, understands social media trends, and knows how to turn a business idea into engaging content.

Responsibilities

- Plan and manage monthly social media content calendars for Meld Techo and client brands.
- Develop content ideas for Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube Shorts, X and other relevant platforms.
- Write engaging captions, social media posts, hooks and short-form video/Reel scripts.
- Create concepts for Reels, Shorts, carousels, educational posts, promotional content and brand stories.
- Visit client locations when required to shoot Reels, product videos, behind-the-scenes content and other short-form videos.
- Handle basic video shooting using a smartphone/camera with positive framing, lighting and composition.
- Coordinate with graphic designers and video editors and provide clear creative briefs for required visuals.
- Publish and schedule approved content across different social media platforms.
- Maintain consistency in each brand's tone, visual identity and communication style.
- Research current social media trends, viral formats, hooks, sounds and content patterns and identify opportunities relevant to our clients.




- Monitor social media performance including reach, views, engagement, followers, watch time and other relevant metrics.
- Analyse content performance and suggest improvements based on data.
- Work closely with the marketing, design, video and business development teams to execute campaigns on time.
- Maintain organised content calendars, creative requirements and publishing schedules.
- Stay updated with changes in social media algorithms, platform features and content best practices.

Requirements
- 1–3 years of hands-on experience in social media, digital marketing, content creation, media or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and YouTube Shorts.
- Good copywriting skills with the ability to write engaging captions, hooks and social media content.
- Basic scriptwriting skills for Reels and short-form videos.
- Ability to independently generate creative content ideas based on a brand, product or campaign objective.
- Comfortable with shooting videos using a smartphone/camera.
- Basic understanding of video composition, lighting, framing and storytelling.
- Familiarity with tools such as Canva, CapCut, VN, Adobe tools or similar creative software will be an advantage.
- Ability to create and manage monthly content calendars.
- Understanding of social media analytics and ability to interpret basic performance metrics.
- Strong awareness of current social media trends and viral content formats.




- Good communication skills and ability to work with designers, video editors, marketers and clients.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Ability to adapt content tone and communication style for different industries and audiences.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Media, Journalism or a related field is preferred, but practical experience and a strong portfolio will also be considered.
