Company Description Beat Cervical Cancer (BCC) India is a collaborative network of Indian NGOs working to advance cervical cancer prevention, with a strong focus on HPV vaccination. Guided by science-based messaging and community-led initiatives, BCC aims to significantly increase demand and coverage for cervical cancer prevention across the country. The network strives for 90% HPV vaccination coverage among girls aged 9–14 as a key milestone toward national elimination targets.
Founding members include the Indian Cancer Society, Coimbatore Cancer Foundation, Prayas (Pune), CAPED, HRIDAY, MP-Voluntary Health Association, and the Cancer Foundation of India. BCC is initiated and managed by the Cancer Foundation of India, with support from the American Cancer Society and Cancer Research UK, creating a platform for collaboration, knowledge sharing, and impactful community action.
Role Description This is a full time, on-site role based in Kolkata for a Social Media Content Creator.
The Social Media Content
Creator will develop, write, and design engaging content for platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, X (Twitter), LinkedIn, and YouTube, aligned with BCC’s mission and campaigns. The role involves planning content calendars, creating posts and short-form videos, coordinating with program and communications teams, and adapting complex public health information into accessible, audience-friendly formats. The person in this role will monitor trends, track performance metrics, and refine content based on analytics and feedback.
Responsibilities also include responding to comments and messages, supporting online events or campaigns, and maintaining consistent brand voice and visual identity.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in social media content creation, including copywriting, basic graphic design, and short-form video production for platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, X (Twitter), LinkedIn, and YouTube.
- Proficiency in digital tools such as Canva, basic photo/video editing software, and social media management or scheduling platforms.
- Ability to translate health and science-based information into clear, compelling, and culturally sensitive messages for diverse audiences.
- Experience in developing and managing content calendars, running campaigns, and tracking performance using analytics tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; knowledge of Indian languages (especially Bengali and Hindi) is highly desirable.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated interest or experience in public health, social impact, or nonprofit communication is an advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Media Studies, Journalism, Public Health, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
