Role Overview We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and own production-grade data pipelines and Snowflake architecture, and to be the technical point of accountability for data reliability, cost, and performance across the platform.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and build scalable, production-grade ELT/ETL pipelines feeding Snowflake, from ingestion through transformation to consumption layers.
- Understanding on all key Snowflake services, latest features.
- Define and enforce data quality and testing standards (e.g., dbt tests, schema/contract checks) so downstream teams can trust the data without manual verification.
- Manage infrastructure as code (Terraform) and CI/CD for data pipeline deployments,



so changes are reviewed, tested, and rolled out safely.
- Mentor mid-level and junior data engineers on Snowflake, dbt, DCM best practices and code review standards.
- Own incident response and root-cause analysis for pipeline failures and data quality issues, including postmortems.

Required Qualifications

- 5+ years of hands-on, production-grade experience with Snowflake.
- 5+ years of hands-on, production-grade experience across at least two of the three major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) — specifically Azure and GCP.
- Hands-on, production-grade experience with dbt and Terraform/DCM.
- Hands-on experience with at least one cloud-native ETL/ELT tool (e.g., Matillion).
- Advanced SQL and hands-on data modelling experience (dimensional modelling, slowly changing dimensions, or similar).
- Working proficiency in Python for pipeline development and automation.
- Experience with git-based version control and CI/CD pipelines for data engineering workflows.
- Demonstrated experience mentoring other engineers or leading technical design reviews.

Preferred Qualifications

- AWS experience, in addition to Azure and GCP.
- Experience in Databricks, BigQuery, Synapse.
- Fivetran experience.
- Experience with streaming/near-real-time data pipelines (e.g., Kafka, Kinesis).




- Familiarity with BI/semantic layer tools (e.g., PBI, Looker, Tableau) and how they consume Snowflake models.
- SnowPro Core or Advanced certification.
- Experience with data governance and compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, SOC 2) as they apply to data pipelines.
