We are looking for an experienced Snowflake Developer with a strong background in SQL, data engineering, data warehousing, and ETL/ELT development . The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience designing and developing scalable data solutions using Snowflake and possess strong expertise in writing complex SQL queries, data transformation, performance optimization, and data integration.

The candidate should have a solid understanding of modern data warehouse concepts and be comfortable working with large and complex datasets in an enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data solutions using Snowflake .
- Develop complex and optimized SQL queries, stored procedures, views, CTEs, and analytical queries .
- Build and maintain ETL/ELT data pipelines for ingesting and transforming data into Snowflake.
- Develop data models, tables, views, stages, streams, tasks, and other Snowflake objects.
- Perform data extraction, transformation, cleansing, validation, and loading from multiple source systems.
- Optimize Snowflake queries and data structures for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency .
- Analyze query execution plans and troubleshoot performance issues.
- Work with structured and semi-structured data such as JSON, XML, and Parquet .
- Implement data quality checks and reconciliation processes to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
- Collaborate with Data Engineers, Data Architects, Business Analysts, and application teams to understand data requirements.
- Develop and maintain data pipelines using ETL/ELT tools and cloud technologies.
- Participate in data migration and modernization initiatives involving Snowflake.
- Troubleshoot data pipeline failures and resolve production data issues.
- Follow best practices for security, access control, data governance, and Snowflake environment management.
- Create and maintain technical documentation for data pipelines, data models, and processes.

Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering,



data warehousing, or database development.
- Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake .
- Excellent proficiency in SQL , including:
- Complex joins
- CTEs
- Subqueries
- Window functions
- Stored procedures
- Views
- Query optimization
- Data aggregation and transformation
- Robust understanding of data warehousing concepts , including:
- Star and Snowflake schemas
- Fact and dimension tables
- Slowly Changing Dimensions (SCD)
- Data modeling
- ETL/ELT processes
- Data quality and reconciliation
- Experience developing and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines .
- Strong understanding of relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL , or similar.
- Experience working with large volumes of data and performance tuning.
- Experience with cloud data platforms and/or cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP .
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills
- Experience with Python for data processing and automation.
- Experience with dbt and modern ELT frameworks.
- Experience with Apache Airflow or similar orchestration tools.
- Experience with tools such as Informatica, Talend, Matillion, Fivetran, or AWS Glue .
- Knowledge of Snowflake features such as:
- Snowpipe
- Snowpipe Streaming
- Streams & Tasks
- Dynamic Tables
- Time Travel
- Zero-Copy Cloning
- Snowflake Scripting
- External/Internal Stages
- Experience working with AWS S3, Azure Data Lake, or GCP storage .
- Familiarity with CI/CD and version-control tools such as Git, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions .
- Understanding of data governance, security, and role-based access control.

Education Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.

Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is a strong SQL and data professional first , with hands-on Snowflake development experience. The candidate should be able to independently analyze source data, understand data relationships, write complex SQL, build reliable data pipelines, troubleshoot data issues, and optimize Snowflake workloads.
