Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Snowflake Architect to design, build, and govern scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud data platforms using Snowflake. The role will work closely with data engineering, analytics, application, security, and business teams to define data architecture and deliver modern data solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Design end-to-end Snowflake data architectures for enterprise-scale analytics and data workloads.
- Define data warehouse, data lake, and modern data platform architecture patterns.
- Design scalable data models, including dimensional, normalized, and semi-structured data models.
- Develop strategies for data ingestion, transformation, integration, and orchestration.
- Optimize Snowflake workloads for performance, scalability, and cost.
- Design and implement Snowflake security, including RBAC, access policies, masking, row-level security, and data governance.
- Establish standards for databases, schemas, warehouses, roles, resource monitors, and environments.
- Design ETL/ELT pipelines using tools such as dbt, Informatica, Matillion, Fivetran, Azure Data Factory, AWS Glue, or similar technologies.
- Integrate Snowflake with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Define strategies for data migration from legacy databases and data warehouses to Snowflake.
- Implement solutions using Snowflake capabilities such as Streams, Tasks, Dynamic Tables, Snowpipe, Snowpipe Streaming, Time Travel, and Secure Data Sharing.
- Establish CI/CD and DevOps practices for Snowflake development and deployment.
- Monitor platform performance, usage, and costs and implement optimization strategies.
- Create architecture standards, technical documentation, reference architectures, and solution designs.




- Mentor data engineers and developers and provide technical leadership across projects.
- Collaborate with enterprise architects, security teams, DevOps teams, and business stakeholders.

Required Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake architecture and administration.
- Advanced SQL and strong understanding of relational and analytical database concepts.
- Experience with data modeling and enterprise data architecture.
- Strong understanding of cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience designing large-scale ETL/ELT pipelines.
- Strong understanding of Snowflake performance optimization and cost management.
- Experience with Snowflake security and governance.
- Solid knowledge of data warehousing, dimensional modeling, and data lakes/lakehouses.
- Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong communication, documentation, and stakeholder-management skills.

Preferred Skills
- SnowPro certification.
- Experience with dbt and modern data stack technologies.
- Experience with Python.
- Experience with Kafka or other streaming technologies.
- Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or other BI platforms.
- Experience with Terraform or infrastructure-as-code.
- Knowledge of data governance/catalog platforms such as Collibra, Alation, or Microsoft Purview.
- Experience with enterprise-scale Snowflake migrations.
- Familiarity with FinOps and Snowflake cost-optimization practices.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 8–12+ years of relevant technology experience.
- 4+ years of experience designing and implementing Snowflake solutions.
- Proven experience leading architecture decisions for complex data platforms.
