Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced SMT Engineer with hands-on experience in Panasonic SMT machines operation and programming. The candidate will be responsible for SMT line programming, machine setup, optimization, troubleshooting, and ensuring smooth production with minimum defects and downtime.

Key Responsibilities

1. Create, modify, and optimize SMT programs for pick-and-place machines.
2. Perform PCB/component programming and feeder setup as per production requirements.
3. Set up Panasonic SMT machines for new and existing products.
4. Prepare and verify component placement data, coordinates, BOM, and machine programs.
5. Optimize placement sequence, machine speed, feeder arrangement, and cycle time.
6. Ensure correct component loading and feeder configuration.
7. Coordinate with Production, Process Engineering, Quality, and Maintenance teams for smooth SMT operations.
8. Troubleshoot programming, placement, feeder, component, and machine-related issues.
9. Support NPI/new product introduction, including program preparation and first-off production.
10. Analyze and reduce placement errors, component rejection, machine downtime, and production losses.
11. Maintain SMT machine programs, backups, and revision control.
12. Support SPI/AOI programming and process improvement where required.
13. Ensure proper implementation of ESD, 5S,



safety, and quality procedures on the SMT line.
14. Monitor machine performance and take corrective action for recurring issues.
15. Prepare production and programming-related reports and maintain required documentation.

Required Technical Skills

- Robust experience in Panasonic SMT machine programming and operation.
- Knowledge of SMT Pick & Place machines and feeder setup.
- Understanding of PCB Gerber, BOM, centroid/XY data and component specifications.
- Knowledge of SMT production processes and PCB assembly.
- Knowledge of solder paste printing, reflow process, and SMT defects.
- Ability to troubleshoot component placement and programming errors.
- Knowledge of SMD components such as resistors, capacitors, ICs, connectors, LEDs, diodes, etc.
- Good understanding of ESD and 5S practices.

Preferred Experience

- Panasonic SMT programming and machine operation.
- SMT line setup and changeover.
- New product/program development.
- Production optimization and cycle-time reduction.
- Experience in CCTV, electronics, PCB assembly, or similar manufacturing industry.

Qualification Diploma / B.Tech / ITI / Electronics-related qualification with relevant SMT programming experience.
