We are hiring an experienced Slotter Machine Operator to operate and set up slotting machines for machining slots, keyways, internal profiles and other precision components. The candidate should have positive knowledge of engineering drawings, cutting tools and measuring instruments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and set up Slotter Machine / Vertical Slotting Machine.
- Perform slotting, keyway cutting, internal grooving and profile machining operations.
- Read and understand engineering drawings, dimensions and tolerances.
- Select and set appropriate cutting tools and machining parameters.
- Properly align and clamp workpieces before machining.
- Check dimensions using Vernier, Micrometer, Bore Gauge,
Height Gauge and other measuring instruments.
- Maintain required dimensional accuracy and surface finish.
- Handle heavy engineering components safely.
- Coordinate with Production and Quality teams to meet production requirements.
- Follow machine safety procedures and maintain proper housekeeping.
Preferred Experience: 2–8 years of experience as a Slotter Machine Operator / Slotting Machine Operator in heavy engineering, machine manufacturing or machine-tool industries.
