Job Summary

We are looking for a hands-on SRE / Production Support Engineer with strong Java/Spring Boot, PostgreSQL, AWS and Kubernetes/EKS experience.

The ideal candidate should have experience supporting Java/Spring Boot microservices in production, troubleshooting application and database issues, and working with cloud infrastructure and Kubernetes.

This is not a pure Java Developer or pure DBA role. Candidates should have hands-on production support/SRE experience across application, database and cloud layers.

Must-Have Skills

- 3–6 years of experience in SRE, Production Support, Application Support or similar production engineering roles
- Hands-on Java and Spring Boot experience
- Experience supporting Java Microservices in production
- Strong hands-on PostgreSQL experience

- Experience with PostgreSQL

- SQL queries

- Indexes

- Query performance

- Execution plans

- Locks/blocking

- Database connections/connection pools

- Performance troubleshooting
- Basic to good PostgreSQL DBA experience
- Hands-on AWS experience
- Hands-on Kubernetes, preferably AWS EKS
- Production incident management and RCA
- Experience troubleshooting application, database and infrastructure issues
- Good Linux and SQL knowledge
- Experience with monitoring/logging tools such as CloudWatch, Splunk, Grafana, Datadog, Dynatrace or similar

Key Responsibilities

- Support and monitor Java/Spring Boot microservices in production
- Troubleshoot application performance,



availability and production incidents
- Investigate issues across Java application microservices database Kubernetes AWS
- Troubleshoot PostgreSQL queries, indexes, locks, connections and performance issues
- Monitor and troubleshoot Kubernetes/EKS workloads, pods, deployments and services
- Analyze application and infrastructure logs and metrics
- Handle production incidents within defined SLAs
- Perform root cause analysis and implement preventive actions
- Support production releases and post-deployment validation
- Work with Development, DBA, DevOps and Infrastructure teams to resolve complex issues
- Monitor system health and identify potential performance/reliability problems
- Maintain troubleshooting documentation and operational runbooks

Required Production Experience Candidates should be able to explain at least one real production incident involving:

- Java/Spring Boot microservices
- PostgreSQL/database issue
- Kubernetes/EKS issue
- AWS infrastructure or application performance

Candidates with only Java development, only DBA, or only DevOps experience without Java microservices and PostgreSQL production troubleshooting experience may not be suitable for this role.
