Role & responsibilities

- Piping Fabrication &
- Erection:

Supervise shop and field spool fabrication, fit-up, welding, alignment, and final piping erection based on Piping Isometrics, P&IDs;, General Arrangement Drawings (GADs), and 3D plant models.

- Equipment Installation: Lead the rigging, lifting, foundation checking, grouting, levelling, and alignment of static equipment (vessels, columns, heat exchangers, storage tanks) and rotating machinery (pumps, compressors, blowers, agitators).

- Testing &

- Pre-Commissioning:

Plan, organize, and witness hydro-testing, pneumatic testing, flushing, dewatering, and line chemical cleaning; prepare test packages and ensure reinstatement of lines post-testing.

- Contractor &

- Manpower Management:

Supervise mechanical and piping contractors, monitor daily progress against construction schedules, allocate site resources, and resolve on-site constructability clashes.

- Material &

- Spool Management:

Verify incoming piping materials, valves, gaskets, fasteners, and equipment against Material Test Certificates (MTCs), Bills of Quantities (BOQ), and specifications; manage site store reconciliations.

- Interface &

- Progress Reporting:





Coordinate with the engineering office for technical queries (RFIs/site clarifications), redline markup preparation for As-Built drawings, and submit Daily/Weekly Progress Reports (DPR/WPR).

- Safety &

- Compliance:

Enforce site Permit-to-Work (PTW) systems, Job Safety Analyses (JSA), tool-box talks, and OSHA/client HSE protocols across all mechanical and lifting activities.

Preferred candidate profile

- Education: B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering

- Experience: 3 to 6 years of relevant on-site execution experience in EPC, EPCM, or plant construction environments.

- Technical Knowledge: Solid ability to read and interpret Piping Isometrics, Support Drawings, Equipment Layouts, and P&IDs; hands-on understanding of dial gauge/laser alignment, torqueing, and pipe support installation.

- Codes &
- Standards:

Working familiarity with ASME B31.3 (Process Piping), ASME Section IX (Welding Qualifications), ASME Section VIII (Pressure Vessels), and API 686 (Machinery Installation).

- Communication &

- Leadership:

Effective contractor handling skills, problem-solving mindset, and clear cross-discipline coordination.

- Software: Working knowledge of AutoCAD &

- MS Office.
