Role Description The Site Engineer role at Aldecor India is a full-time, on-site position based in Bangalore Urban.

The Site

Engineer will oversee day-to-day site operations, coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and internal design teams, and ensure work progresses according to drawings, specifications, and schedules.

Responsibilities include monitoring quality and safety standards, resolving technical issues on site, and supporting structural and civil engineering aspects of interior build projects. The role also involves regular reporting on project status, maintaining documentation, and proactively addressing any delays or site constraints.

The Site

Engineer will play a key role in ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and in line with Aldecor’s design and quality benchmarks.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong on-site execution skills, including supervision of site activities and coordination with multiple stakeholders.
- Candidates should possess effective communication skills to interact with clients, consultants, vendors, and internal teams and to provide clear updates and documentation.
- Candidates should possess quality control skills, including inspection of materials, workmanship, and adherence to safety and compliance standards.




- Candidates should possess structural engineering and civil engineering knowledge relevant to interior and fit-out projects.
- Relevant qualifications such as a diploma or degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Experience in interior fit-out, construction, or design-build projects, preferably in commercial or retail spaces.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings, and use basic project management and site documentation tools.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and willingness to work flexible hours as required by project schedules.

Site Engineer Roles & Responsibilities

- Ensure end-to-end on-site execution of interior fit-out works in line with approved drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
- Drive timely completion of site milestones by planning daily activities and sequencing civil, interior, furniture, and MEP work efficiently.
- Monitor progress against planned timelines and proactively flag delays or risks to the Project Manager.
- Coordinate with all stakeholders to minimize downtime and prevent schedule slippages.
- Ensure defect-free execution across all site activities, minimizing rework and quality deviations.
- Conduct pre-installation checks including site readiness, level checks, and dimensional verification before commencement of work.
- Inspect materials, finishes, furniture, and installations against approved samples, drawings, and mock-ups.
- Review shop drawings and technical submittals to confirm site feasibility and compliance prior to execution.




- Monitor material usage to ensure adherence to approved BOQs and reduce wastage on site.
- Verify material deliveries for quantity, quality, and specification compliance; report discrepancies immediately.
- Maintain basic material tracking records to support variance analysis between estimated and actual consumption.
- Coordinate with vendors and stores to ensure timely availability of materials without overstocking.
- Ensure strict adherence to EHS norms, safety protocols, and statutory regulations at site.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and ensure corrective actions are implemented promptly.
- Enforce use of PPE and protected work practices among workers, subcontractors, and visitors.
- Report and document safety violations, near misses, and incidents as per company guidelines.

Daily Tasks of a Site Engineer · Conduct a morning briefing with subcontractors and labour teams to assign daily targets, safety norms, and quality expectations.

· Review the day’s work plan against project timelines and site milestones.

· Ensure availability of approved materials, drawings, tools, and manpower before work commencement.

· Supervise site execution and verify correct installation of civil, interior, furniture, and MEP work.

· Carry out pre-installation checks and inspect material deliveries for quality and quantity compliance.

· Monitor material usage to minimize wastage and report variances.

· Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors to resolve site-level issues and prevent work stoppages.

· Ensure EHS compliance through routine safety checks and PPE enforcement.

· Track daily productivity and escalate delays or execution issues to the Project Manager.

· Record daily progress, site photos, issues, and pending approvals; plan requirements for the next day.
