Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Backend Shopify Developer to join our growing team. As a Backend Shopify Developer, you will be responsible for building and maintaining the server-side logic, databases, and application integrations that support our Shopify eCommerce platform. You’ll collaborate with frontend developers, designers, and product teams to create high-performance, scalable, and secure eCommerce solutions for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

- Backend Development: Develop and maintain custom Shopify applications, APIs, and integrations that power the store's back end.
- API Integration: Work with third-party APIs to integrate Shopify with external systems, such as payment gateways, shipping providers, and CRM tools.
- Database Management: Design and optimize databases to handle large volumes of eCommerce data, ensuring the security and performance of the system.
- Store Customization: Customize and extend Shopify’s Liquid templates and backend code to meet specific business requirements.
- Code Quality: Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code. Follow best practices for coding, version control, and testing.
- Performance Optimization: Monitor and enhance the performance of Shopify sites, focusing on speed, load times, and overall user experience.
- Troubleshooting & Bug Fixes: Identify and resolve backend issues or bugs that impact the functionality of the Shopify store.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the frontend team to ensure seamless integration of backend and frontend components.
- Security: Implement best practices to protect user data and ensure compliance with relevant security standards.
- Project Management: Participate in the development life cycle, from planning and design to deployment and maintenance.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- Experience:
- Proven experience as a Backend Developer with Shopify, particularly with the Shopify API, Liquid,



and third-party integrations.
- Strong experience with server-side technologies, such as Node.js, Ruby on Rails, or similar frameworks.
- Technical Skills:
- Expertise in Shopify Plus, Shopify API, and Shopify App development.
- Proficient in backend programming languages (Node.js, Ruby, Python, PHP, etc.).
- Experience working with RESTful APIs, webhooks, and integrating third-party services.
- Strong knowledge of database systems (MySQL, MongoDB, etc.).
- Familiarity with version control tools, such as Git.
- Ability to work with Agile methodologies and version control systems (Git, GitHub, Bitbucket).
- Problem-Solving:
- Robust analytical and troubleshooting skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Communication:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Able to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with:
- Shopify Liquid templating language.
- Server configuration and management (AWS, DigitalOcean, etc.).
- Payment gateways and processing systems (Stripe, PayPal, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience with:
- Working with Shopify Plus and complex Shopify projects.
- Knowledge of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to work effectively with the frontend team.
- Experience with Continuous Integration (CI/CD) and Agile project management tools.
- Certifications:
- Shopify Developer certification or other relevant credentials are a plus.

Education:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
