Job Summary The Paint Shop Supervisor will be responsible for supervising daily paint shop operations, ensuring high-quality painting and finishing, meeting production targets, and maintaining safety and quality standards. The role requires hands-on experience in paint application processes, team supervision, and coordination with related departments.
Key Responsibilities
- To perform daily paint shop activities to meet production schedules
- Ensure proper surface preparation, painting, and finishing as per specifications
- Monitor paint mixing ratios, application techniques, and curing processes
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure quality standards and minimize rework
- Maintain safety standards, PPE compliance, and housekeeping (5S) in the shop
- Identify and resolve process issues related to paint defects and wastage
- Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, and Production teams for smooth operations
Skills & Competencies
- Solid knowledge of paint shop processes and equipment
- Quality control and defect analysis
- Knowledge of safety practices and PPE
Qualifications
- ITI / Polytechnic in Chemical Engineering or similar.
- 1 Year of experience in paint shop supervision (Automotive/Weapon Industries preferred)
