Role Description This is a full-time, in office Shift Engineer role based in Chennai.

The Shift

Engineer will oversee the operation and maintenance of building engineering systems such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and utility equipment, ensuring safe and reliable performance during assigned shifts.

Responsibilities include monitoring system parameters, performing routine inspections, coordinating preventive and corrective maintenance, and responding to breakdowns or alarms in a timely manner. The role involves maintaining logs and reports,



supporting energy efficiency initiatives, and working closely with facility and operations teams to uphold service standards and compliance with safety procedures.

The Shift

Engineer will also assist in coordinating with vendors, guiding technical support staff, and contributing to continuous improvement in facility performance.

Qualifications

- Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical and plumbing equipment, and utility operations, with the ability to troubleshoot and perform basic repairs.
- Experience in facility management or plant engineering environments, preferably in industrial, commercial, or corporate built spaces.
- Understanding of preventive and predictive maintenance practices, safety procedures, and relevant engineering standards or regulations.
- Ability to monitor and interpret system data, maintain accurate shift logs and reports, and use basic computer tools or building management systems.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the capacity to coordinate with cross-functional teams, vendors, and service partners.
- Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline is preferred; relevant certifications in HVAC, facility management, or safety are an advantage.
- Willingness to work in shifts on-site in Chennai, with a strong focus on workplace safety, reliability
