About Neeman Furniture

Neeman Furniture is a furniture manufacturing company specializing in office furniture, ergonomic seating, workstations, tables, storage solutions, institutional furniture, hospital furniture, and other commercial furniture solutions.

We are looking for a Sheet Metal Designer to join our Design & Engineering team and contribute to the development of precision sheet-metal components and furniture products.

Key Responsibilities

- Create and modify 3D sheet-metal models and assemblies using SolidWorks.
- Prepare accurate 2D manufacturing and fabrication drawings.
- Develop sheet-metal bending drawings, including bend details, dimensions, tolerances, and relevant manufacturing information.
- Understand and apply sheet-metal design principles, bend allowances, bend deductions, K-factor, and flat patterns.
- Design components considering manufacturing feasibility, bending, fabrication, welding, and assembly requirements.
- Coordinate with the production, fabrication, and engineering teams to ensure designs are practical and production-ready.
- Modify designs based on production requirements, prototypes, testing, and feedback.
- Maintain proper design documentation, drawings, revisions, and CAD files.
- Ensure accuracy and consistency in dimensions, specifications, and engineering drawings.
- Support the development and improvement of existing products and new furniture designs.

Required Skills & Qualifications
- Diploma / B.Tech / B.E. in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong working knowledge of SolidWorks is mandatory.
- Good understanding of 3D modelling and sheet-metal design in SolidWorks.
- Must understand sheet-metal bending and bending drawings.




- Ability to prepare 2D manufacturing drawings with proper dimensions and tolerances.
- Basic understanding of fabrication, welding, cutting, bending, and sheet-metal manufacturing processes.
- Positive understanding of engineering drawings and manufacturing processes.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work with production and engineering teams.

Experience
- Freshers are welcome if they have strong practical knowledge of SolidWorks and sheet-metal design.
- Candidates with 1–4 years of relevant experience in sheet-metal design, fabrication, furniture manufacturing, or engineering products will be preferred.
- Candidates should be able to demonstrate their knowledge of SolidWorks and sheet-metal modelling during the selection process.

- Good knowledge of 2D manufacturing drawings
- Practical understanding of manufacturing feasibility
- Ability to convert concepts/design requirements into production-ready drawings
- Good problem-solving and communication skills
- Willingness to learn and work closely with the production team
