Position: SIA & SES Expert

Location: Bhubaneswar, Odisha

Experience: Freshers to 5 years

Travel: Willingness to travel to project sites is essential

Educational Qualification

- Master's Degree in Sociology, Social Work, Rural Development, Rural Management, Development Studies, Social Anthropology or related discipline.
- Freshers with strong academic knowledge of SIA/SES are welcome.
- Candidates with 2–5 years of relevant SIA/SES experience will be preferred.

Key Knowledge & Responsibilities

- Knowledge of SIA & SES methodologies and RFCTLARR Act, 2013 .
- Conduct household surveys, field investigations and baseline studies .
- Assist in preparation of SIA/SES reports, questionnaires and survey formats .
- Collect, analyse and interpret socio-economic, demographic and livelihood data .
- Assist in assessment of affected families, social impacts and R&R; requirements .
- Prepare field reports, tables, charts and supporting documentation.
- Coordinate with communities, Panchayats, Revenue/Project authorities and field teams .
- Work on SIA/SES assignments for land acquisition, mining, industrial and infrastructure projects .

Experience:

- 2–5 years of direct experience in SIA / SES / Socio-Economic Studies / Social Research
- Experience in Land Acquisition and R&R; projects
- Experience with RFCTLARR Act, 2013




- Household-level socio-economic surveys and field investigations
- Gram Sabha / public consultation / public hearing experience
- PAF/PDF identification and R&R; documentation
- Livelihood impact and restoration assessment
- Mining, industrial, infrastructure or other land-acquisition projects

Knowledge:

- Strong interest and knowledge in SIA and SES .
- Good understanding of social research and field-survey techniques .
- Good analytical and report-writing skills.
- Good command of Odia and English ; Hindi will be an advantage.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic knowledge of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint .
- Ability to work in rural/field environments.
- Willingness to travel extensively to project locations.

Experience Criteria

Freshers:

Candidates with a relevant Master's degree and academic knowledge of SIA, SES, social research or land acquisition are encouraged to apply.

Candidates with hands-on experience in SIA, SES, socio-economic surveys, baseline studies, social research or land-acquisition-related studies will be preferred.

Key: This is not a CSR position . Candidates should have an interest in and/or experience specifically related to SIA, SES and social research . Candidates whose background is primarily CSR activities without SIA/SES knowledge or experience will not be preferred.
