Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced ServiceNow Release Manager to manage and coordinate the end-to-end release lifecycle across development, testing, UAT, and production environments.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in ServiceNow Release Management, ITSM, Change Management, ITIL, DevOps, and production deployments. The candidate should be comfortable coordinating with technical, testing, infrastructure, security, and business teams to ensure smooth, controlled, and predictable releases.

Key Responsibilities

- Own and manage the ServiceNow release calendar, schedules, scope, dependencies, deployment windows, and release activities.
- Coordinate end-to-end releases across Development, Test, UAT, and Production environments.
- Conduct release-readiness reviews covering testing status, approvals, security validation, deployment plans, rollback plans, communication, and support coverage.
- Manage ServiceNow configuration promotions, upgrades, patches, hotfixes, integrations, and production deployments.
- Coordinate with development, QA/testing, infrastructure, security, application, and business teams throughout the release lifecycle.
- Work closely with Change Management and ITSM teams to ensure releases follow established governance and approval processes.
- Track release risks, issues, dependencies, and blockers and ensure timely resolution.
- Maintain release documentation, deployment plans, runbooks, release notes, and audit evidence.
- Support post-release activities and conduct Post-Implementation Reviews (PIRs).
- Identify opportunities to improve release processes, deployment efficiency, quality, and platform stability.




- Support release automation and CI/CD practices where applicable.
- Ensure releases follow ServiceNow and organizational best practices.

Required Skills & Experience
- 5–8 years of total IT experience, with 5+ years of relevant ServiceNow experience.
- Strong experience in ServiceNow Release Management.
- Good understanding of ServiceNow ITSM and Change Management.
- Strong understanding of ITIL-based release and change processes.
- Experience managing deployments across multiple ServiceNow environments.
- Hands-on understanding of ServiceNow upgrades, patches, hotfixes, configuration promotions, and release cycles.
- Experience with Update Sets and/or contemporary ServiceNow deployment practices.
- Exposure to DevOps and CI/CD processes.
- Working knowledge of tools such as Git, Azure DevOps, Jira, and Jenkins.
- Strong coordination and stakeholder-management skills.
- Good understanding of release risk management, rollback planning, deployment governance, and production support.

Preferred
- ITIL Foundation certification.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Experience with automated testing and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience managing enterprise-scale ServiceNow releases.
- Exposure to ServiceNow platform upgrades and patching activities.

Candidate Profile We are looking for someone who can independently manage the ServiceNow release lifecycle, coordinate multiple technical and business stakeholders, identify release risks, and ensure successful deployments with minimal disruption to business operations.

Candidates with robust ServiceNow Release Management and ITSM experience will be preferred.
