Role overview

We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow IRM Senior Engineer to contribute to the development and deployment of ServiceNow Integrated Risk Management (IRM) solutions. The role involves working across the complete development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, implementation and documentation.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with ServiceNow IRM, configurations, workflows, scripting, integrations and CMDB. You will work closely with Product Owners, Agile teams, Release Train Engineers and other stakeholders to deliver scalable and maintainable solutions aligned with business requirements.

Key responsibilities:

1.ServiceNow IRM Development

- Develop and deploy ServiceNow IRM solutions and components based on project requirements.
- Participate in all phases of the development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, implementation and documentation.




- Configure ServiceNow workflows, UI policies, ACLs and other platform components.
- Develop scalable and maintainable solutions following ServiceNow development best practices.
- Support the implementation and enhancement of Integrated Risk Management capabilities.

2.Technical Design & Documentation

- Develop technology and implementation design documentation.
- Prepare and maintain implementation specifications and technical documentation.
- Provide estimates for design, development, testing and implementation tasks.
- Provide technical inputs and recommendations to ensure clean and effective solution design.
- Contribute to architecture discussions and technical solution planning.

3.Development, Testing & Code Quality

- Undertake regular development and testing of ServiceNow configurations and code.
- Participate in peer code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards.
- Contribute to unit, integration and user acceptance testing activities.
- Review test scripts and provide inputs aligned with the broader testing strategy.
- Collaborate with testing automation teams to support effective quality assurance.

4.Integration & Scripting

- Develop and maintain ServiceNow integrations using RESTful APIs and other integration mechanisms.
- Work with JavaScript and other ServiceNow scripting technologies.
- Develop or initiate JavaScript utilities as required.
- Work with XML, Java, Jelly scripting and AngularJS where applicable.
- Support integration with enterprise systems and ServiceNow platform components.

5.Agile & Release Management

- Work with Agile Champions and Release Train Engineers to prepare configurations for production.
- Participate in Scrum ceremonies and follow Agile principles and practices.
- Use Agile tools including Rally for planning, tracking and delivery.
- Support release planning, implementation and production readiness activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of project tasks.

6.Stakeholder Collaboration

- Provide technical recommendations and inputs to Product Owners.




- Communicate complex technology solutions effectively to technical teams and senior leadership.
- Collaborate with development, testing, architecture and business teams.
- Contribute to shared project goals and successful solution delivery.

Required technical skills and competencies:

- 3+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience, including ServiceNow IRM solutions/components.
- Strong experience with ServiceNow configurations, workflows, scripting, UI policies and ACLs.
- Experience with ServiceNow integrations and CMDB.
- Strong knowledge of JavaScript and RESTful APIs.
- Experience with XML, Java, Jelly scripting and AngularJS.
- Experience across the software development lifecycle.
- Strong understanding of GRC/IRM concepts and industry trends.
- Experience working in Agile environments.
- Experience with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to present complex technical solutions to technical teams and senior leaders.
- Overall 3+ years of software development experience.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or another technology-related discipline.
