Position Overview Drive end-to-end service diagnostic readiness for recent projects while delivering dedicated engineering support for active production models. This role leads the strategy, development, validation, and deployment of Diagnostic Service Manuals (DSM), interactive service wiring diagrams, diagnostic tools, software suppliers, and field resolution workflows.

Key Responsibilities

Diagnostic Strategy Manual Development (DSM)

Lead DSM development for new project readiness from early architecture phases to full production.

Evaluate Engineering Fault Strategy sheets and conduct failure mode/gap assessments against project architecture to ensure 100% component failure coverage.

Audit Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) parameters for accurate SPN-FMI mapping; collaborate with engineering teams to track and resolve identified gaps.

Perform physical fault simulations on equipment to validate that DSM troubleshooting procedures effectively resolve root-cause issues.

Convert Excel-based diagnostic matrices into HTML SPN-FMI manuals and publish them on the iKonnect Online Portal.

Service Diagnostic Tool Readiness Operations

Define detailed service tool functional requirements (live parameters, configurable write parameters, and advanced troubleshooting features) based on project architecture; provide requirements to the AME team for tool development, validate delivered tool functionality against specifications, and follow up until all gaps are closed.

Drive diagnostic tool feature enhancements: collect user feedback, coordinate development scope with external suppliers, manage quotes, secure financial approvals,



issue POs, validate software builds, and close supplier invoices.

Oversee Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMC) for diagnostic tooling suites (iKonnect, NIRA, Heinzmann, and third-party tools).

Administer Diagnostic Tool licenses and resolve incoming service tool support tickets.

Interactive Service Wiring Diagrams

Source engineering electrical schematics, 2D/3D sensor layouts, component location diagrams, and system circuits to drive interactive wiring diagram creation with suppliers.

Validate wiring diagram accuracy before releasing finalized assets on the iKonnect Online Portal.

Current Product Diagnostic Support

Serve as the technical owner for field issue resolution on active production models (in addition to handling new project readiness).

Gather field feedback and customer input to drive continuous improvement updates across existing DSMs, diagnostic software tools, and service wiring diagrams.

Technical Proficiency: Deep understanding of UDS protocols, SPN-FMI fault logic, Service diagnostic tools, Diagnostic Standards, Service Critical Parameters and Control Functions, and 2D/3D electrical schematics.

Systems Portals: Hands-on experience with diagnostic authoring tools, diagnostic application and web portal administration (iKonnect or equivalent), vendor management, and ticket resolution processes.
