*About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and customer-oriented Service Advisor to join our Volkswagen Service Team. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in an automobile dealership/workshop environment and possess strong technical understanding, customer-handling and communication skills.
*Key Responsibilities
- Receive customers and understand their vehicle service/repair requirements.
- Conduct vehicle inspection along with the customer and identify service requirements.
- Prepare accurate job cards with complete details of customer complaints and vehicle concerns.
- Explain the scope of work, estimated cost and expected delivery time to customers.
- Coordinate with technicians and the workshop team for timely completion of jobs.
- Monitor the progress of vehicles under repair and keep customers updated.
- Obtain customer approval for additional repairs/work identified during the service process.
- Ensure proper documentation and adherence to dealership/Volkswagen service processes.
- Conduct quality checks and ensure customer concerns are properly addressed before vehicle delivery.
- Prepare and explain the final invoice to the customer.
- Coordinate vehicle delivery and ensure a smooth delivery experience.
- Follow up with customers after service to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Handle customer complaints professionally and coordinate with the concerned departments for resolution.
- Achieve assigned targets relating to labour, parts, accessories, service packages and customer retention.
- Maintain accurate customer records and update the CRM/DMS regularly.
- Promote periodic maintenance,
value-added services, accessories and other relevant service offerings.
- Maintain good relationships with customers and generate repeat business and referrals.
*Candidate Profile
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Service Advisor in an Automobile Dealership/Workshop is preferred.
- Experience in passenger car service operations will be an advantage.
- Volkswagen or European car dealership experience will be an added advantage.
- Good knowledge of automobile service processes and basic vehicle systems.
- Strong customer-handling and communication skills.
- Ability to understand customer complaints and communicate technical information in simple terms.
- Positive negotiation and convincing skills.
- Target-oriented with a focus on customer satisfaction and service revenue.
- Good coordination skills with technicians, spare parts and other dealership departments.
- Basic computer knowledge and experience with DMS/CRM systems.
- Willingness to work on weekends/holidays as per dealership requirements.
