Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Server & Cloud Infrastructure Engineer with around 3 years of hands-on experience, with strong and practical expertise in Virtualmin and Webmin-based server management.

The ideal candidate should be capable of independently managing Virtualmin/Webmin servers, Linux VPS environments, hosting configurations, domains, DNS, SSL, Nginx/Apache, databases, application deployments, and server troubleshooting.

This role is heavily focused on Virtualmin/Webmin administration and VPS/hosting management. Candidates must have real-world experience configuring, maintaining, securing, and troubleshooting production servers through Virtualmin/Webmin.

Key Responsibilities

Virtualmin / Webmin — Core Responsibility

- Install, configure, and manage Virtualmin and Webmin servers.
- Create and manage virtual servers, sub-servers, users, and hosting environments.
- Configure websites, domains, mail services, databases, and DNS through Virtualmin/Webmin.
- Manage server resources, permissions, packages, services, and configurations using Webmin.
- Perform server migrations, backups, restores, and hosting environment changes.
- Troubleshoot Virtualmin/Webmin-related hosting and configuration issues.
- Configure and maintain Apache/Nginx through Virtualmin/Webmin.
- Manage PHP versions, modules, virtual hosts, and application-specific server requirements.
- Configure SSL certificates and HTTPS for domains using Virtualmin/Webmin.
- Monitor server health, services, disk usage, memory, CPU, and system logs.
- Perform basic server hardening, access control, firewall configuration, and security maintenance.
- Independently diagnose and resolve hosting issues reported by clients or internal teams.

Linux & VPS Server Management
- Manage and maintain Linux-based VPS and dedicated servers.
- Perform Linux server configuration and administration through SSH and Webmin.
- Install and configure required packages, services,



and dependencies.
- Manage users, permissions, processes, services, cron jobs, logs, and system resources.
- Troubleshoot server performance, connectivity, application, and service issues.
- Perform basic server optimization and resource management.

Web Hosting & Application Deployment
- Deploy and maintain web applications on Virtualmin-managed servers.
- Configure Nginx, Apache, PHP, Node.js, and backend services as required.
- Configure reverse proxies and application routing.
- Manage Node.js applications using PM2.
- Configure production environments and application dependencies.
- Troubleshoot application deployment and hosting-related issues.

Domains, DNS & SSL
- Manage domains and DNS records including A, AAAA, CNAME, MX, TXT, and related records.
- Configure nameservers and DNS zones through Virtualmin/Webmin.
- Install, renew, and troubleshoot SSL/TLS certificates.
- Configure HTTPS and resolve common SSL/DNS issues.
- Manage domain-to-server hosting configurations.

Database & Backend Services
- Manage MySQL/MariaDB databases and users.
- Perform basic database backup, restore, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Support backend applications and APIs running on production servers.
- Work with Node.js applications and basic PHP/Laravel deployments.

Cloud & Automation
- Manage VPS and cloud infrastructure.
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of AWS services and cloud server environments.
- Work with Git/GitHub for application deployment and version control.
- Configure APIs, webhooks, and n8n workflow automation.
- Support real-time applications using Socket.io and WebSockets.

Candidate Requirements
- Around 3 years of practical experience in server administration, hosting, VPS management, or IT infrastructure.
- Solid hands-on experience with Virtualmin and Webmin is mandatory.
- Experience independently managing production hosting servers.
- Strong understanding of Linux server environments.
- Experience troubleshooting websites, DNS, SSL, Apache/Nginx, databases, and server services.
- Ability to handle server setup, configuration, migration, deployment, and maintenance independently.
- Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Comfortable working with SSH and Linux command-line tools.
- Willingness to work with cloud, DevOps, hosting, and automation technologies.

Preferred Candidate Profile Candidates who have managed multiple production servers through Virtualmin/Webmin, handled website hosting environments, performed server migrations, configured DNS/SSL, and independently resolved hosting and server issues will be strongly preferred.

Virtualmin/Webmin experience is a primary requirement for this position.
