Senior Waiter – Restaurant, Coimbatore The Senior Waiter is responsible for providing efficient and courteous food and beverage service to guests while ensuring smooth day-to-day restaurant operations. The role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, maintaining service standards, assisting junior team members, and ensuring a pleasant dining experience for all guests.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide prompt, courteous, and professional service to guests.
- Welcome guests, assist with seating, and present menus appropriately.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and communicate them to the kitchen.
- Serve food and beverages as per established service standards.
- Ensure proper table setup, cleanliness, and readiness of the restaurant.
- Coordinate with the kitchen and other service staff to ensure timely order delivery.
- Check food presentation and ensure the correct items are served to guests.
- Attend to guest requests, feedback, and complaints professionally.
- Assist junior waiters and current team members in following service procedures.
- Support smooth coordination during busy service hours.
- Ensure billing and payment procedures are followed accurately.
- Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and sanitation standards in the restaurant.
- Follow grooming, attendance, discipline, and company service standards.
- Assist with opening and closing duties,



including restaurant setup and closing checks.
- Support special events, promotions, and other restaurant activities as required.
- Report operational issues and guest feedback to the Supervisor or Manager.

Qualifications & Skills
- Diploma or degree in Hotel Management, Hospitality, or Food & Beverage Service preferred.
- 2–4 years of experience in restaurant, hotel, resort, or similar F&B; service operations.
- Previous experience as a Waiter or Senior Waiter preferred.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong guest service and order-handling skills.
- Basic knowledge of restaurant operations and POS/billing systems.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and support junior staff.
- Well-groomed, courteous, and professional in appearance and conduct.
- Ability to work in shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred Skills
- Experience in multi-cuisine or high-volume restaurant operations.
- Knowledge of food and beverage service standards.
- Basic knowledge of menu items and food presentation.
- Ability to handle guest requests and service issues effectively.
- Knowledge of hygiene, sanitation, and food safety standards.

Job Type: Full-time Pay: ₹16,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
