The Role

We're looking for a Video Editor who understands editing beyond simply putting clips together.

You should be able to take raw footage, a brief, or an idea and turn it into a complete, engaging visual story.

You'll work across documentaries, interviews, educational films, government and civic projects, short-form content, social media videos and research-driven storytelling.

What You'll Do

- Edit documentaries, interviews, educational films, reels, YouTube videos and digital content.
- Take projects from raw footage to final delivery .
- Build narrative structure, pacing and visual flow based on the story.
- Organise and manage large amounts of footage efficiently.
- Handle sound design, music selection, dialogue editing and audio cleanup .
- Perform colour correction and basic colour grading .
- Create titles, transitions, lower thirds and other motion graphics.
- Use archival footage, photographs, graphics and other visual elements creatively.
- Adapt videos for different platforms and aspect ratios.




- Work with the research and creative teams to understand the subject and translate it into strong visual storytelling.
- Take feedback, refine edits and deliver polished final films.
- Manage multiple projects and deadlines when required.

What We're Looking For
- Robust command of Adobe Premiere Pro.
- Good working knowledge of After Effects, Photoshop and other Adobe tools .
- Strong understanding of editing, storytelling, pacing and visual language .
- Ability to structure a story from unstructured or large volumes of footage.
- Strong understanding of sound design, music, colour and transitions .
- Attention to detail and consistency.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of an edit from start to finish.
- Someone who can distinguish between an edit that is technically correct and one that is actually good .
- Curious about people, society, cities, education and the world around you.
- Able to work independently as well as with a team.

Experience 2+ years preferred.

Your portfolio matters more than your years of experience.

We're especially interested in seeing complete projects that demonstrate your editing ability, storytelling sense and range.
