About the Role

We are looking for a visionary Senior UAV Design Engineer to spearhead the concept-to-flight development of our next-generation unmanned aerial systems. This is not a role for a draftsman; it is a role for an architect of flight. You will own the end-to-end design lifecycle, bridging the gap between complex aerodynamic theory and rugged structural reality.

Utilizing CATIA as your primary canvas, you will create high-performance airframes optimized for endurance, payload efficiency, and structural integrity. You will collaborate directly with fabrication, avionics, and flight test teams to take your designs off the screen and into the sky.

What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities)

- Lead End-to-End Development: Mastermind the entire hardware lifecycle—from initial aerodynamic concept sketching, sizing, and multi-disciplinary optimization to the final flight-ready airframe.
- Advanced CAD Architecture: Own the master model architecture within CATIA, creating complex 3D surfaces, detailed assemblies, and parametric models built for rapid optimization.
- Aerodynamic & Structural Synthesis: Balance the trade-offs between aerodynamic efficiency (lift/drag optimization) and structural necessity (weight, stress, and stiffness).
- Composite & Material Design: Design lightweight, high-strength structural components specializing in carbon fiber, advanced composites,



and additive manufacturing materials (DFM/DFA).
- Validation & Testing: Collaborate on finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) validations. Define physical stress test protocols, structural proof-load testing, and support real-world flight test analysis.

What We Are Looking For (Requirements)

- Experience: 5+ years of dedicated experience in aerospace, structural, or UAV hardware development, with a proven portfolio of platforms that have successfully flown.
- Software Mastery: Expert-level proficiency in CATIA (V5 or 3DEXPERIENCE) for surface modeling, structural design, and drafting.
- Domain Knowledge: Deep understanding of aircraft layout, drone flight dynamics (fixed-wing, VTOL, or multi-rotor), and aero-structural integration.
- Material Expertise: Hands-on experience with composite manufacturing workflows, layout design, core materials, and hardware integration.
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a highly related technical field.
