Role Description The Senior Technician will be responsible for overseeing installation, commissioning, inspection, and maintenance of elevator systems at customer sites in and around Chennai. This full-time, on-site role includes diagnosing technical issues, performing corrective and preventive maintenance, and ensuring that all work complies with safety standards, manufacturer guidelines, and local regulations.

The Senior

Technician will interpret technical drawings and specifications provided through Lift4M’s platform, coordinate with project managers, vendors, and customers, and provide clear updates on work progress, timelines, and any issues encountered. Day-to-day tasks include site surveys, equipment testing, quality checks, documenting service activities, and supporting junior technicians through guidance and training.



The role also involves recommending technical improvements, identifying recurring problems, and contributing practical feedback to enhance Lift4M’s consultation and specification processes.

Qualifications

- Strong technical skills in elevator installation, commissioning, and maintenance, with the ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical faults efficiently.
- Minimum 02 years experience in the elevator industry.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and specification documents, and applying them accurately on-site.
- Solid understanding of safety standards, relevant codes, and compliance requirements for elevator systems and construction sites.
- Experience using diagnostic tools, testing equipment, and basic hand and power tools required for elevator and vertical mobility systems.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with builders, developers, vendors, and internal project teams.
- Strong documentation and reporting abilities to record service activities, maintenance logs, and technical findings in a clear, structured manner.
- Ability to mentor and support junior technicians, share technical knowledge, and uphold high standards of workmanship and safety.
- Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering (or a related technical field), with prior experience in elevator or vertical transportation industry preferred.
- Willingness to work on-site in Chennai, conduct regular field visits, and manage multiple projects and service calls in a fast-paced environment.
