Job Summary

We're building something current, not greenfield, but purposefully layered. On top of an existing Coupled Drupal/Acquia product, we're introducing a progressive decoupled architecture with Layout Builder as the experience layer and Agentic AI on top. This is a builder's role. You'll translate architectural decisions into working, production-grade code and bring enough technical depth to make smart implementation calls day to day without needing the Architect in every conversation.

We're also a team where AI is part of how we work, not something we're still debating. We run a Prompt Engineering upskilling program, and use cases (technical and functional) come from the team organically. We expect the same from you.

Key Responsibilities

- Implementing the progressive decoupled Drupal architecture as designed by the Architect

- Building and maintaining custom Drupal modules, themes, and service layers

- Hands-on Layout Builder configuration and component development as the experience layer

- Integrating Agentic AI capabilities into the product architecture





- Developing and consuming REST/GraphQL APIs for decoupled frontend layers

- Managing Acquia Cloud environments, pipelines, and deployments

- Integrating enterprise systems — CRM, CDP, SSO/SAML/OAuth

- Writing clean, reviewed, documented code; participating in code reviews

- Flagging implementation risks or blockers to the Architect early

Skill Requirements

- 5+ years of Drupal development (D9/10/11), custom modules, configuration management

- Proven experience implementing decoupled or headless Drupal architectures

- Strong PHP 8+, REST/GraphQL APIs, MySQL

- Frontend: HTML5, CSS/SASS, JavaScript; React or Vue.js

- Acquia Cloud — environments, Pipelines, deployment workflows

- Git-based workflows, CI/CD, Linux

Other Requirements

- Hands-on Layout Builder experience

- Experience integrating Agentic AI or LLM-backed workflows into applications

- Comfortable working within an architect-defined structure while owning implementation decisions

- Acquia or Drupal certified
