T-SQL Developer (MS SQL Server)

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced T-SQL Developer to design and build database logic —ranging from simple lookups to complex, multi-step processing — on Microsoft SQL Server.This role has a strong emphasis on Dynamic SQL, used to drive configuration-basedexecution, where business rules, parameters and processing paths are controlled throughmetadata/configuration tables rather than hard-coded logic. The ideal candidate iscomfortable building flexible, reusable and performant database components that adapt theirbehaviour at runtime based on configuration.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop database logic of varying complexity — from simpleparameterized procedures to complex, multi-branch processing logic
- Build and maintain Dynamic SQL-driven stored procedures that execute different logicpaths based on configuration/metadata tables
- Design configuration-driven frameworks (metadata tables, control tables, parameter-driven templates) that allow business rules to be modified without code changes
- Write and optimize complex T-SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, triggers andviews
- Ensure Dynamic SQL is built securely (e.g., using sp_executesql with parameterization)to prevent SQL injection and support plan reuse
- Analyze and tune query performance, including execution plans for dynamicallygenerated queries
- Design and maintain configuration/control tables that drive execution logic, filtering,joins or transformation rules
- Collaborate with business analysts and application teams to translate changingbusiness rules into configuration-driven logic rather than repeated code changes• Develop robust error handling, logging and auditing for dynamically executed SQL
- Refactor static/hard-coded logic into flexible, configuration-driven Dynamic SQLsolutions where appropriate
- Participate in code reviews, unit testing and documentation of Dynamic SQL logic andconfiguration schemas




- Troubleshoot and debug dynamically generated queries in production environments
- Ensure data integrity, security and compliance across all database objects

Required Skills & Qualifications

- 3+ years of hands-on T-SQL development experience on Microsoft SQL Server
- Strong, demonstrable experience with Dynamic SQL, including sp_executesql,parameterized dynamic queries and dynamic object/column resolution
- Strong expertise in stored procedures, functions, triggers, views and cursors
- Solid understanding of SQL injection risks and secure Dynamic SQL coding practices
- Experience with query performance tuning and execution plan analysis, including fordynamically built queries
- Ability to translate variable/changing business logic into generalized, reusable,parameter-driven code
- Solid understanding of relational database design, normalization and data modelling
- Strong analytical and debugging skills, particularly for troubleshooting runtime-generated SQL

Nice-to-Have Skills

- Experience building rules engines or config-driven ETL/processing frameworks in SQLServer
- Familiarity with SSIS for orchestrating configuration-driven data workflows
- Experience with Azure SQL Database, SQL Managed Instance or AWS RDS for SQLServer
- Knowledge of PowerShell or scripting for automation around configurationdeployment
- Exposure to Agile/Scrum development methodologies• Experience with version control tools (Git, TFS/Azure DevOps)
- Familiarity with logging/auditing frameworks for dynamically executed codeSoft Skills
- Positive communication skills and ability to work with business and technicalstakeholders
- Strong attention to detail, especially when validating dynamically constructed logic
- Ability to think in terms of reusable, generalized solutions rather than one-off fixes
- Comfortable working with ambiguous or evolving business rules and translating theminto structured configuration
- Collaborative mindset for working with DBAs, developers and business teams
