Company Description Noccarc is a medical device company focused on transforming healthcare through advanced technology and smart medical devices. The organization builds connected devices and a digital platform that help hospitals and doctors deliver more effective, data-driven care. By leveraging cutting-edge medical technology, Noccarc aims to improve patient outcomes, save more lives, and elevate the overall quality of care.

The company fosters an innovation-driven culture where team members contribute directly to impactful healthcare solutions. Noccarc continues to expand its portfolio of medical technologies and invites professionals who want to be part of shaping the future of healthcare.

Role Description The Senior Systems Design Engineer is a full-time, in office role based in the Pune District, responsible for leading the design and integration of complex medical device systems. This role involves developing system architecture, defining technical requirements, and coordinating electrical and mechanical subsystems to ensure cohesive product performance. The engineer will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including hardware, software, regulatory, and manufacturing, to translate clinical needs into robust engineering solutions.

Daily tasks include creating design documentation, conducting design reviews, performing system-level analysis and validation, and driving continuous improvements in reliability, safety, and usability. The role also includes mentoring junior engineers, supporting verification and validation activities, and contributing to risk management and compliance with relevant medical device standards.

What You Will Do:

- Co-Architect the System: Understand the product specifications, features, and performance parameters of critical care medical devices; and translate them into precise technical requirements for mechanical, hardware (electronics), and firmware subsystems.
- Modelling & Simulation : Use tools like MATLAB/Simulink to create high-fidelity digital twins of both the medical device (pneumatics/sensors) and the patient (physiology). Simulate performance before prototyping to drastically reduce iteration cycles.
- Critical Component Selection: Analyze and select critical components (flow sensors, pressure transducers, BLDC blowers, proportional valves) by evaluating their physical characteristics against the requirements generated by your simulation models
- Algorithm Development: Own the control loop from sensor noise filtration to actuator command. You will design and implement robust, adaptive control strategies (utilizing PID, MPC, or LQR) to handle complex and non-linear pneumatic systems, ensuring precise pressure and flow stability even under unpredictable clinical conditions and hardware variances.
- End-to-End System Integration: Lead the integration of mechanical, hardware (electronics), and firmware subsystems. You will bring the machine to life,

ensuring precise control from sensors to actuators to deliver the required clinical performance and accuracy.
- Safety & Performance Assurance: Design internal test protocols that push the device to its limits to ensure that the final system architecture inherently meets rigorous medical safety standards and delivers precise clinical performance.

Who You Are:

- Education: B.Tech/M.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, or Control Systems.
- Experience: 3+ years in deep tech/systems engineering (Medical devices, Automotive, or Aerospace preferred).
- The "Math & Physics" Mindset: You are comfortable deriving first-principle physics models for pneumatic, fluid, thermal, or electromechanical systems. You don't just tweak parameters until something works; you understand the mathematical equation behind the physical behaviour.
- Tool Stack: Deep proficiency in 1D simulation and modelling tools like MATLAB/Simulink (Simscape, Stateflow), GT-Suite, or Amesim. Hands-on C/C++ or Python experience to test your logic.
- Control Theory Expert: You understand System Identification and State Space modelling. You know why a standard PID might fail in a highly dynamic environment and how to design advanced controllers to fix it.
- Note: Even if you haven't been entirely responsible for physical hardware design in the past, but have deep understanding of system dynamics and it’s fundamental physical, this role is for you. We believe that great hardware architecture is born from high-fidelity mathematical models. If you can simulate a complex system, we will empower you to architect the physical product.
