Brief about Role & Responsibilities:

As a Senior System Engineer, you will be at the centre of our workspace technology deployments — working across engineering drawings, backend systems and on-ground installations. You'll act as the technical bridge between architectural plans, database configuration, automation and IoT sensor networks, working closely with our installation partners across different regions and time zones.

You bring structure and attention to detail to your work, and you're someone who takes ownership of a problem until it's actually solved. You're equally comfortable reading an engineering drawing, writing a SQL query, or getting on a call with a field engineer to sort out a connectivity issue — and you enjoy the variety that comes with it.

- Read and interpret architectural Reflected Ceiling Plans (RCPs), floor layouts and other engineering drawings to finalise IoT sensor placement, ceiling heights and clearance requirements.
- Prepare and update sensor layout documents and placement guides in AutoCAD, based on site survey inputs.
- Review site survey details — ceiling structure, drop pole requirements, ductwork layout — and coordinate with local site contacts to secure technical clearance before deployment begins.
- Configure backend sensors, media servers and digital display endpoints, making sure data flows correctly into our analytics platforms.




- Query and manage system databases using SQL to validate data pipelines, from the IoT sensors right through to the reporting dashboards.
- Use basic scripting to simplify repetitive configuration checks and data validation work.
- Provide real-time remote support to field technicians and installation partners globally during hardware installs — media servers, display PCs and IoT sensor networks.
- Troubleshoot on-site issues such as IP networking, device connectivity, heartbeat failures and screen calibration.
- Fine-tune backend settings based on field feedback to ensure a clean handover and stable performance once the system goes live.

- A clear communicator who can guide external partners, vendors and site teams patiently, even when things get chaotic on-site.
- Organised and dependable — able to manage more than one site deployment at a time without dropping the ball.
- Genuinely curious and willing to pick up new tools or ways of working without needing to be told twice.
- Stays composed when a go-live doesn't go exactly to plan,



and works the problem instead of the panic.

Required skills & experience:

- 7–8 years of hands-on experience in system engineering, technical support or deployment operations.
- Bachelor’s degree in ENTC, Electronics, Mechanical , or relevant engineering stream
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD (beginner to intermediate) — able to read and make basic edits to RCPs and engineering drawings.
- Practical experience with SQL and database management.
- Some exposure to scripting or automation (Python/shell) to reduce manual, repetitive work.
- General understanding of IoT sensors, media servers, digital signage devices, micro-PCs and basic IP networking.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Open to working a rotational shift schedule to support multi-time-zone deployments.
- Basic knowledge of routers, APs, gateways, and network architecture is required.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts with hands-on in office experience; CCNA certification is preferred.
