As a Sustainability consultant, you'll work closely with the UK Sustainability teams as well as other experienced mechanical and electrical engineers along with colleagues in other disciplines from across the wider Building Services Division in the UK to deliver projects by:
- Supporting in delivering Green Certification Projects such as BREEAM, LEED and WELL from concept to completion.
- Work closely with project stakeholders, including architects, engineers, and contractors, to ensure effective implementation of sustainability strategies.
- Supporting in Whole Life Carbon Analysis for buildings using “One Click LCA” Software as per UK RICS PS - providing recommendations for improvements.
- Conduct energy modelling as per UK building compliance in IESVE software.
- Collaborate with MEP design teams to ensure energy-efficient designs are incorporated into projects.
- Assist MEP design teams for right sizing of the systems and plant equipment.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for clients, outlining findings and proposed sustainability measures.
- Stay updated on the latest regulations, technologies, and best practices related to sustainable development in the UK.
Required Qualifications:
- Education:
Bachelor's degree (B.Tech/B.Arch) or Master's degree (M.Tech/M.Arch) in Architecture / Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified Energy Manager/Certified Energy Auditor
- ASHRAE certified Building Energy Modelling Professional
- LEED GA/AP
- BREEAM AP
Required Competencies:
- Proven experience in handling all aspects of Green building certification.
- Proficiency in using “One Click LCA” software.
- Proficiency in energy modelling software (e.g., IES VE, eQuest, EnergyPlus).
- The ability to manage a variety of projects meeting varying deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving skills working alongside architects and contractors to consider problems and come up with innovative solutions.
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Robust analytical skills and attention to detail.
Desirable Competencies:
- Knowledge of the UK construction market, UK Building regulation
- Familiarity with UK RICS Professional Standard for Whole life carbon assessment processes
- Understanding of ASHRAE, CIBSE standards/guidelines/codes and Sustainability rating systems
