Key Responsibilities

- Develop detailed structural models and drawings for materials-handling projects using AutoCAD, Autodesk Advance Steel and Revit.
- Model structural steelwork and reinforced-concrete arrangements accurately in accordance with the engineer's design information, project standards and client requirements.
- Prepare general arrangements, details, schedules and coordinated deliverables for conveyors, transfer towers, crushing stations, platforms and associated structures.
- Use Navisworks or equivalent federated-model tools to coordinate interfaces and resolve clashes.
- Work closely with structural engineers and other disciplines to interpret calculations, design intent, loads, equipment interfaces and constructability constraints.
- Participate in design reviews and provide practical input on detailing, fabrication, erection, access and maintainability.
- Manage model and drawing registers, revision control and document workflows for assigned work packages.
- Check your own work thoroughly and, where authorised, review and guide the work of junior designers.

Qualifications & Experience Essential

- A diploma, advanced diploma or degree in Structural Design, Civil Engineering, drafting or a related discipline.
- At least 10 years' structural design and detailing experience, including substantial materials-handling, mining or heavy-industrial work.




- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD and Autodesk Advance Steel for structural steel modelling and detailing.
- Solid experience producing coordinated structural drawings and 3D models through detailed design and construction support.
- Ability to interpret engineering calculations and design information and translate them into accurate, buildable deliverables.

- Professional fluency in written and spoken English and confidence collaborating with international stakeholders.

Desirable

- Proficiency in Revit for reinforced-concrete modelling and multidisciplinary BIM coordination.
- Experience with Navisworks, Inventor, Plant 3D or comparable model-coordination platforms.

- Experience across pre-feasibility, feasibility, detailed design and construction-support phases.
- Working knowledge of Australian Standards and materials-handling client requirements; equivalent international experience with demonstrated standards adaptability will also be considered.
- Experience mentoring junior designers and improving modelling or checking workflows.
