The organization offers intensive 45-day programs in AML & KYC, Power BI, Data Analytics, and UX/UI Design, all taught live by industry practitioners. Students work on real-world cases, graded capstone projects, and practical workflows that mirror day-to-day tasks in banks, fintechs, GCCs, and Big 4 environments.

The Career

Lab provides structured placement support across resume building, interview preparation, job application guidance, and profile optimization, with a strong record of student placements and hiring partner relationships. The academy serves a diverse learner base, including graduates, career switchers, and professionals seeking advancement or a fresh start.

Role Description This is a full time, in office Senior Software Engineer role based in Bengaluru.

The Senior Software

Engineer will design, develop, and maintain backend systems and internal tools that power The Career Lab’s learning platforms and placement support systems.

Responsibilities include architecting scalable services, writing clean and efficient code, reviewing contributions from other engineers, and ensuring system reliability and performance. The role involves collaborating closely with product, operations,



and mentor teams to translate training and placement workflows into robust software solutions, integrating data sources, and improving user experience for learners and staff.

The Senior Software

Engineer will also contribute to technical strategy, mentor junior engineers, and help implement best practices in software development, testing, and deployment.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, and systems design.
- Proficiency in Back-End Web Development and Software Development, with experience building scalable, secure services.
- Advanced Programming skills in one or more modern languages (e.g., Python, Java, C#, JavaScript/TypeScript).
- Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and design patterns.
- Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases, APIs (REST/GraphQL), and distributed systems.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), CI/CD pipelines, and containerization tools.
- Ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams, mentor other engineers, and communicate technical concepts clearly.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Prior experience in an edtech, training, or analytics-focused environment is an advantage.
