Role Description The Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software solutions that support Esse India’s immigration and visa consulting operations. Day-to-day tasks include building scalable back-end services, enhancing existing applications, integrating third-party tools, and ensuring system reliability and performance.

The role also involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, implementing secure and efficient code, reviewing the work of other developers, and contributing to architectural decisions and technical best practices. This is a full-time, in office role based in Chennai,



requiring close coordination with business stakeholders to deliver technology solutions that improve client and internal user experiences.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in core Computer Science concepts, including data structures, algorithms, and system design.
- Proficiency in Software Development and Programming, with experience delivering production-grade applications.
- Hands-on expertise in Back-End Web Development, including API design, databases, and server-side frameworks.
- Solid grasp of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and ability to apply them to scalable, maintainable code.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience working as a senior or lead engineer, mentoring other developers and contributing to technical strategy.
- Familiarity with secure coding practices, version control systems, and modern software development workflows.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in an on-site team workplace.
- Experience in building solutions for service-based or consulting businesses, or knowledge of immigration/visa domains, is an advantage.
