Job Summary

We are looking for a hands-on Senior ServiceNow Developer to design, develop, and implement ServiceNow solutions supporting enterprise transformation initiatives. The first focus will be building and enhancing a Transition Excellence Platform on ServiceNow.

You will work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, architects, and platform teams. Together you will turn business requirements into scalable, secure applications and workflows across Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM), App Engine, Flow Designer, Knowledge Management, and Performance Analytics.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, configure, and support scalable ServiceNow solutions following platform best practices and development standards.
- Develop and enhance solutions across ServiceNow SPM, App Engine, Flow Designer, Service Catalog, Knowledge Management, and Performance Analytics.
- Build custom applications, workflows, forms, business rules, UI policies, flow automations, integrations, and dashboards.
- Partner with the Transition Excellence team and product owners to gather requirements, carry out technical analysis, and turn functional needs into technical solutions.
- Design and implement transition lifecycle workflows, governance checkpoints, approvals, task orchestration, notifications, and reporting.
- Support platform upgrades, deployments, performance tuning, defect resolution, and production support.
- Contribute to platform architecture decisions, integration strategies, and technical standards.
- Ensure compliance with security, audit, accessibility, and enterprise architecture standards.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, development standards, and knowledge articles.




- Collaborate with ServiceNow administrators, architects, QA, and platform governance teams.

Required Skills & Experience

- 68 years of overall IT experience, with at least 5 years of hands-on ServiceNow development in enterprise-scale implementations.
- Strong hands-on experience with Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM / ITBM / PPM), App Engine Studio, Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, Service Catalog, and Knowledge Management.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript and ServiceNow scripting (Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, UI Policies, UI Actions).
- Experience with REST/SOAP APIs, web services, and integration frameworks.
- Proven experience designing and building custom scoped applications, workflows, and automation solutions.
- Experience with Performance Analytics, dashboards, reporting, and data visualization.
- Valuable knowledge of the ServiceNow data model, security architecture, ACLs, update sets, scoped applications, and platform governance.
- Solid understanding of Agile, DevOps practices, SDLC, and release management.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in global, cross-functional, matrixed environments.

Certifications

- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA): Mandatory
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD): Mandatory
- ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist SPM (CIS-SPM): Preferred

Education UG: B.Tech/B.E. in Computer Science, IT, or a related discipline

PG: M.Tech / MCA / M.Sc (Computer Science / IT) preferred but not mandatory
