Senior Robotics Software Engineer; Teleoperation and Robot Learning Data

Role:

Own the software from operator intent and robot execution through synchronised capture, episode preparation, quality control and reproducible dataset release.

Previous experience: 3

- years in software engineering, including 2+ years on physical robotics. Must demonstrate deployed robot-control or teleoperation software and synchronised video/robot-state pipelines, with measured performance.

Qualification: B.E./B.Tech or M.Tech in Computer Science, Robotics, Electronics or a related discipline.

Work arrangement:

Full-time, work from office; client-site deployment support and travel as required.

High-level Scope of responsibilities

- Map Quest/OpenXR hand or controller inputs into operator intent, coordinate frames, inverse kinematics and constrained trajectories; handle mode changes, stale inputs and recovery.
- Engineer WebRTC video/feedback transport and robot interfaces. Profile command and video latency separately.
- Synchronise front/wrist video, requested/applied actions and robot states using source, receive and application timestamps,



sequence IDs and calibration; preserve native-rate records and document resampling.
- Maintain independent pipelines for Label outcomes, interventions, errors, and abort reasons.

Software and technical experience

Required proficiency:

Production C++ and Python, Linux, ROS 2, ros2_control, Git and automated testing; practical kinematics, transforms and trajectory integration using MoveIt 2 or equivalent.

Required pipeline experience:

OpenCV, rosbag2/MCAP, pandas/PyArrow, FFmpeg/GStreamer and WebRTC; demonstrate timestamp alignment, packet/frame-loss diagnosis and reproducible data loading.

Preferred:

Unity/C#/OpenXR, PyTorch and LeRobot; MuJoCo/Gazebo, simulation/shadow policy validation, signed skill packages and deployment rollback for future agreed policy integration.

Required evidence of experience

Submit deployment examples and non-confidential code/architecture samples showing latency/jitter, video–action alignment, dropped-frame handling, dataset QC and your exact contribution.
