Senior Research Analyst – Commercial Due Diligence & Market Intelligence (PE/VC)

About the Role

Join our Commercial Due Diligence & Market Intelligence team supporting Private Equity, Venture Capital, and Fortune 500 clients on high-stakes buy-side and sell-side engagements. You'll work with leading global PE funds on deals ranging from $200M to $1B+, driving the primary and secondary research that shapes real investment decisions.

What You'll Do

- Lead end-to-end commercial and vendor due diligence (CDD/VDD), market assessment, and pricing engagements across sectors
- Design and execute B2B/B2C surveys to decode consumer behavior, purchase patterns, and competitive benchmarks
- Mine databases (CapIQ, Pitchbook, Crunchbase, Preqin, VCCEdge, Traxcn, Refinitiv) to build data-driven investment theses
- Conduct digital performance and sentiment analysis using SEMrush, SimilarWeb, Google Trends, and Caplena
- Build industry, sector, and country mapping reports to flag high-potential investment targets in emerging markets
- Run workforce analytics on target companies — attrition, compensation,



tenure, leadership pedigree
- Manage stakeholder relationships across PE, VC, consulting, and research panel networks
- Mentor junior analysts/associates on methodology, tools, and delivery quality

What We're Looking For
- 5–8 years of experience in a Big 4 Transaction Services/Deal Advisory practice, MBB, or a boutique PE/VC research & advisory firm
- Proven experience in PE/VC due diligence and secondary research engagements
- Hands-on expertise with market intelligence platforms such as CapIQ, Pitchbook, Preqin, Crunchbase, Traxcn, VCCEdge, or Refinitiv/ThomsonOne
- Strong Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, and SQL skills
- Experience leading a small analyst team (4–5 members)
- CFA Level 1, or progress toward CFA, is a plus
- Ability to work UK/BST-aligned hours to support global stakeholders
