What You'll Do

We are seeking senior software Q/A engineer to support the routing,switch platform test on Cisco enterprise routing platforms . You will participate on a project team involved in development testing of software on Polaris & IOS-XE based platforms, that may include any of the following list of responsibilities:

· Support the new platform software development test, regression test and automation test across routing platforms

· Collaborate with other team members to define quality goals, test scope, and execution plan, ensure the on-time delivery of the products with high quality

· Modern Test Practices: Apply modern Test workflows, including AI-assisted coding tools (such as GitHub Copilot or Codex) and integrated development environments like VSCode, to accelerate the development lifecycle and improve code quality.

Who You Are

· In-Depth knowledge of TCP/IP networking technologies. Experience with L2-L3 network protocols. Minimum 5 years working on networking related area and 3 years’ experience on routing/switching technology area.





· Hands-on automation test experience with Python and Pytest/vtest Framework experietise.

· M.S. or B.S. in CS/CE/EE/AI/ML and other IT related majors.

· Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), with expertise in requirements analysis, test plan creation, execution, and release validation.

· Extensive hands-on experience in platform testing, PHY/MAC layer validation, and high-speed interface integrity testing, which you will use to validate our Next-Gen engineering platforms.

· Demonstrated ability to architect robust test plans and map them to critical platform testing areas, including port validation, Datapath/control path validation, FPGA, ROMMON, and environmental/hardware functional testing (e.g., power supplies, LEDs, fans).

· Valuable technical knowledge and hands-on experience conducting deep-dive testing of MACsec, Port-Channels, Flow Control, and Quality of Service (QoS).

· Excellent troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills, applying advanced debugging techniques, kernel logs, and system traces.

· Solid foundation in Linux operating systems and hands-on experience with virtualization technologies, such as KVM and ESXI.

· Hands-on expertise with industry-standard network traffic generators (Ixia, Spirent) and protocol analyzers (Wireshark).

· Proficiency in applying Git for source code and version control management.

Preferred Qualifications

· Industry-recognized certifications such as CCNA,CCNP,CCIE or equivalent.

· Practical experience working within Agile development methodologies and fast-paced engineering environments.
