We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Engineer – SS Gas Piping to execute and supervise stainless-steel gas piping projects at our project site in Mundra, Gujarat.

The candidate will be responsible for site execution, installation, quality control, documentation, testing and commissioning of SS 316L / UHP gas piping systems, including high-purity and specialty gas distribution systems.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and execute SS 316L gas piping and UHP gas piping installation activities at site.
- Supervise installation of SS tubes, pipes, fittings, valves, regulators, manifolds and gas panels.
- Read and understand P&IDs;, isometric drawings, GA drawings and piping layouts.
- Coordinate with construction teams, subcontractors, client representatives and QA/QC teams.
- Ensure proper tube cutting, bending, fitting and orbital welding practices.
- Monitor orbital welding activities and ensure compliance with approved welding procedures and project specifications.
- Check weld quality, alignment, tube cleanliness and installation workmanship.
- Coordinate purging, pressure testing, leak testing, helium leak testing and flushing activities as applicable.
- Ensure proper handling and cleanliness of UHP components and SS tubing.
- Maintain project documentation including:
- Daily progress reports
- Material reconciliation
- Welding records
- Weld maps
- Inspection reports
- Pressure/leak test reports
- As-built drawings
- Punch-list records
- Monitor project progress against schedule and report delays or site constraints.
- Coordinate material requirements and ensure availability of fittings, valves, tubes and consumables.
- Supervise subcontractors and manpower at site.
- Ensure compliance with EHS/safety requirements and site work permits.




- Attend client inspections and resolve technical/site execution issues.
- Support pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.
- Prepare daily and weekly project progress reports for management.

Technical Requirements The candidate should have practical knowledge of:
- SS 316L / SS 304 gas piping
- UHP gas piping systems
- Semiconductor/specialty gas piping
- VCR fittings and compression fittings
- Gas manifolds and gas panels
- Regulators and isolation valves
- Orbital TIG welding
- Automatic orbital welding machines
- Tube bending and installation
- Purging and inert gas procedures
- Pneumatic/hydro pressure testing
- Helium leak testing
- Particle, moisture and oxygen testing
- P&ID; and isometric drawing interpretation
- MTO/BOM and material tracking
- QA/QC documentation

Preferred Knowledge of Standards

Knowledge of relevant SEMI standards, ASME B31.3, ASTM standards and project-specific UHP piping specifications will be an advantage.

Knowledge of orbital welding acceptance criteria and UHP gas piping cleanliness requirements will be preferred.

Qualification

- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering / Production Engineering / Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
- 3–5 years of relevant site/project experience.
- Candidates with experience in UHP gas piping, semiconductor projects, specialty gas systems, pharmaceutical or high-purity process piping will be preferred.
