Job Title: Sr. Engineer - Production (Extrusion Blow Moulding) — Manufacturing (Plastic Bottles & Caps)

Company Summary We are a manufacturing company specializing in plastic bottles and caps for primary packaging in healthcare, food, and FMCG sectors. We supply finished packaging components to brands, contract manufacturers, and co-packers. Our focus is product quality, regulatory compliance, timely delivery, and strong customer partnerships.

Role Summary: Senior technical lead responsible for end-to-end production of HDPE extrusion blow moulding (EBM) operations across a shopfloor of ~15 EBM machines. Drive production planning, process optimization, quality, equipment reliability, safety and continuous improvement to meet customer, regulatory and cost targets.

Key Responsibilities

- Own day-to-day EBM production operations for 15 machines: plan, schedule, monitor output, and ensure on-time Dispatches.
- Optimize process parameters (parison control, cycle times, cooling, air pressure, temperatures) to improve yield, part consistency and reduce rejects.
- Lead troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for machine/process issues; implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Coordinate preventive and predictive maintenance with maintenance teams to maximize uptime and extend tool/machine life.
- Oversee mold/tool management: setup, changeovers, maintenance, life tracking and spare/tooling inventory.
- Implement and sustain process control systems, SPC, and critical process documentation (SOPs, PFMEA, control plans).
- Drive productivity and cost reduction initiatives: OEE improvements,



cycle time reduction, scrap reduction, energy optimization.
- Ensure products meet dimensional, visual and regulatory quality standards (food-grade, healthcare requirements); coordinate with QA on inspections, testing and customer audits.
- Lead Recent Product Introductions (NPI): validate process windows, trial runs, sampling, scale-up and handover to production.
- Train, mentor and coach operators and junior engineers on EBM best practices, safety and troubleshooting.
- Maintain accurate production records, shift handovers, shift KPIs and reports; interface with planning, warehouse and sales for order fulfillment.
- Enforce health, safety and environmental compliance on the shopfloor (PPE, lockout-tagout, housekeeping).
- Collaborate with tooling vendors, machine OEMs and suppliers for upgrades, spares and technical support.

Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Plastics/Polymer Engineering or equivalent.
- 6+ years’ hands-on experience in extrusion blow moulding (EBM) operations, preferably in HDPE/PP bottle/cap production.
- Experience managing multiple EBM machines (experience with 10–20 machines preferred).
- Strong grounding in process control, tooling, and maintenance practices for blow moulding.





Technical Skills & Competencies
- Deep knowledge of extrusion blow moulding process variables, parison profiling, mold design basics and tooling features.
- Familiar with SPC, PFMEA, root-cause methodologies (8D/5-Why), and continuous improvement (Kaizen, Lean, Six Sigma concepts).
- Ability to read engineering drawings and interpret dimensional tolerances.
- Proficient with production IT systems/ERP for shopfloor reporting; good MS Excel skills.
- Strong leadership, communication and team-coaching skills.
- Practical understanding of polymer materials (HDPE grades), rheology and processing behavior.
- Familiarity with machine PLCs, servo-controls and basic pneumatics/hydraulics preferred.

KPIs / Success Metrics
- Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) improvement.
- Production yield and scrap rate reduction.
- On-time production and delivery adherence.
- Mean time between failures (MTBF) and reduced downtime.
- Number of successful NPI launches and time-to-stable-production.
- Safety incident reduction and audit compliance.

Working Conditions
- Plant-based role with regular interaction across shifts; may require shift support and occasional weekend/after-hours presence for critical issues.
- Hands-on shopfloor involvement, 10 hour Shift.

Job Type: Full-time Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
