About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Product Designer to lead product-design execution across Gentle's mobile and web platforms. You will own projects from initial requirements through final implementation, while guiding the internal design team and maintaining consistency across the product. This is a hands-on leadership role: you will design key experiences yourself while also reviewing, supporting, and improving the work of other designers.

You will collaborate closely with product leadership, business stakeholders, engineers, and external design partners.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the day-to-day product-design process and guide the internal design team.
- Convert business and product requirements into clear information architecture, user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and final UI.
- Take ownership of complex features from problem definition through development handoff.
- Conduct user research, usability testing, competitive analysis, and design validation when required.
- Review the team's work and provide clear, constructive design feedback.
- Maintain consistency across mobile, responsive web, light mode, and dark mode.
- Contribute to Gentle's design system, including reusable components, variables, patterns, and documentation.
- Simplify complex financial information through clear hierarchy, interaction patterns, and data visualisation.
- Ensure designs meet usability and WCAG accessibility standards.
- Work closely with developers, communicate interaction details, and conduct design QA during implementation.




- Present design decisions clearly and explain the user, product, and business reasoning behind them.
- Help improve the team's design process, collaboration, documentation, and overall quality.

Required Experience and Skills

- 5+ years of professional product-design experience.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end UX and UI work, not only final screens.
- Experience designing complex mobile and responsive web products.
- Strong understanding of user research, information architecture, user flows, interaction design, and usability.
- Advanced proficiency in Figma, including auto layout, components, variants, variables, prototyping, and developer handoff.
- Experience creating or maintaining scalable design systems.
- Strong visual-design fundamentals, including typography, hierarchy, spacing, colour, grids, and responsive behaviour.
- Understanding of accessibility and inclusive-design principles.
- Experience collaborating closely with product managers and developers.
- Ability to guide other designers, review work, and maintain quality across multiple projects.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and ownership skills.

Good to Have

- Experience in fintech, wealth management, banking, investment, or another data-intensive product.
- Experience designing financial dashboards, charts, tables, or analytical tools.
- Experience working with subscriptions, personalization, or AI-powered experiences.
- Experience mentoring junior or mid-level designers.
