Role Description

Plumbing

- Design, review, and supervise domestic water supply, drainage, soil/waste, rainwater, and sanitary systems.
- Review plumbing drawings, shop drawings, specifications, and material submittals.
- Coordinate plumbing works with architectural, structural, electrical, HVAC, and other MEP services.
- Supervise installation, testing, commissioning, and handover.
- Monitor water pressure, drainage slopes, pipe sizing, pumps, tanks, valves, and related equipment.
- Ensure proper quality of materials and installation.

Firefighting
- Manage installation and execution of fire hydrant, sprinkler, hose reel, fire pump, fire tank, and fire alarm interfaces, as applicable to the project.
- Review firefighting system drawings, hydraulic calculations, equipment schedules, and shop drawings.
- Coordinate with fire consultants, authorities,



contractors, and other MEP disciplines.
- Supervise testing and commissioning of fire pumps, hydrants, sprinklers, and associated systems.
- Ensure installations comply with the applicable fire-safety codes and approved project requirements.

Project & Site Management
- Lead plumbing and firefighting contractors/subcontractors at site.
- Prepare and monitor work schedules, material requirements, manpower, and progress.
- Inspect work and issue/close snags and punch-list items.
- Review method statements, inspection/test plans (ITPs), RFIs, and technical submittals.
- Coordinate inspections with consultants and clients.
- Monitor project quality, safety, and productivity.
- Identify site problems and provide technical solutions.
- Track quantities, variations, and progress for billing.
- Maintain project documentation and prepare regular progress reports.
- Support testing, commissioning, authority inspections, and final handover.

Significant Technical Skills
- Plumbing and firefighting design principles.
- Hydraulic calculations and pump selection.
- Reading and reviewing MEP coordination drawings.
- Knowledge of NBC, IS standards, NFPA, and applicable local fire regulations.
- BOQ, quantity estimation, and material take-off.
- Site supervision and contractor management.
- Microsoft Office/Excel and project-management software.
- Strong coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical/Civil Engineering
