Role Description The Senior Physical Design Engineer (6+ years of experience) role is a full-time, on-site position based in Bengaluru South. This role involves owning and executing physical design implementation tasks, including floorplanning, placement, clock tree synthesis, routing, timing closure, and power optimization for complex ASIC/SoC designs. The engineer will perform physical verification, collaborate with front-end and logic design teams to resolve design issues, and drive sign-off for timing, power, and area.

Daily responsibilities include analyzing design constraints, working with EDA tools and flows, debugging implementation challenges,



and ensuring design quality and consistency with project requirements. The role also entails mentoring team members, participating in design reviews, and coordinating with cross-functional stakeholders to meet schedule and quality targets.

Qualifications

- Strong expertise in Physical Design, including floorplanning, placement, CTS, routing, and timing closure.
- Hands-on experience with Physical Verification, including DRC, LVS, and sign-off flows.
- Solid understanding of Logic Design and Circuit Design for digital integrated circuits.
- Proficiency in RTL Design concepts and collaboration with front-end design and verification teams.
- Experience with industry-standard EDA tools (e.g., Synopsys, Cadence, or equivalent) for implementation and verification.
- Knowledge of STA, power analysis, and signal integrity considerations in advanced process nodes.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related discipline.
- Proven ability to mentor engineers, work in cross-functional teams, and communicate technical information clearly.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently under defined timelines.
