ROLE OVERVIEWWe are seeking an experienced Senior Operations Manager to lead and manage B2B PTL (Part Truckload) operations in an aggregation workplace. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving operational excellence through data analytics, optimizing service delivery metrics, managing service clients, and ensuring profitability through commercial expertise.

This role requires someone with a proven background in PTL aggregation operations who can manage complex logistics networks, handle multiple service clients, and drive operations decisions backed by data insights.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Operations Management &

• Execution

- Lead and manage B2B PTL operations across assigned region(s)
- Oversee the complete operational setup, including pickup, transit, sorting, and delivery
- Manage operations centers and ensure smooth day-to-day execution
- Ensure 100% compliance with SLAs (Service Level Agreements) with service clients
- Coordinate with cluster operations teams to achieve operational excellence

Data-Driven Operations & • Performance Metrics

- Drive all operational decisions using data analytics and KPI tracking
- Monitor and optimize critical metrics including:
- Pickup Adherence % – Ensure on-time pickup collection from customers
- Delivery % – Track and improve delivery completion rates
- RTO (Return to Origin) % – Minimize returned shipments and manage reverse logistics
- Vehicle Utilization % – Optimize load factors and container/truck utilization
- Cost Per Kilogram (CPK) – Track and reduce operational costs
- TAT (Turnaround Time)



– Monitor shipment cycle time from pickup to delivery
- Create and maintain daily/weekly/monthly operations dashboards
- Identify trends, bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions based on data
- Conduct root cause analysis for performance deviations

Appointment-Based Delivery Management

- Implement and manage appointment-based delivery system to optimize last-mile operations
- Coordinate pickup and delivery appointments to ensure customer convenience
- Reduce failed delivery attempts through appointment scheduling
- Track appointment adherence metrics and improve customer experience
- Work with technology team to integrate appointment system with operations

Load Management & • Logistics Network

- Manage and optimize daily load volumes
- Handle LR (Logistic Requisition) management – track volume of LRs processed daily/monthly
- Manage freight consolidation and load planning
- Optimize network routes to reduce transit time and costs
- Ensure proper load distribution across available capacity

Service Client Management

- Serve as primary point of contact for B2B service clients
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key service clients (e.g., e-commerce, FMCG, pharma)




- Handle client escalations and ensure timely resolution
- Conduct regular performance reviews and business reviews with clients
- Identify opportunities for business growth and additional services

Commercial & • Financial Management

- PTL Commercial Expertise – Manage pricing, cost structures, and margins
- Develop and manage budgets for assigned operations
- Conduct cost-benefit analysis for new routes, partners, and services
- Manage vendor/partner negotiations (3PL providers, transporters, loaders)
- Ensure profitability targets are met while maintaining service quality
- Track commercial metrics: Revenue per ton, cost per shipment, margin optimization

Vendor & • Partner Management

- On-board and manage logistics partners (transporters, pickup partners, last-mile service providers)
- Frame Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and ensure compliance
- Conduct regular performance audits with partners
- Address escalations and maintain partnership standards

Process Improvement & • Technology Adoption

- Implement new operational processes and systems
- Drive technology adoption across the operations network
- Identify continuous improvement opportunities
- Lead operational excellence programs

Industry Background:

- Logistics / Courier & Shipping / 3PL / Quick Commerce / E-commerce Operations
- FMCG Logistics / Supply Chain
- Aggregation or Network-based logistics models

Education:

- Bachelor's Degree (B.Tech/B.E./B.Com/BBA or equivalent)
- MBA or equivalent (preferred)
