About Position:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Firewall/Network Security Software Engineer with 8+ years of expertise in C/C++ development for Linux and embedded systems. The role focuses on designing and developing next-generation firewall (NGFW) and cybersecurity solutions, including high-performance packet processing, network security, authentication systems, and advanced threat protection. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of networking protocols, security architectures, and scalable system design.

What You'll Do:

- Design and develop control-plane and data-plane components for next-generation Firewall (NGFW) platforms across Layers 37.
- Build high-performance packet processing and traffic management systems using multi-core architectures such as DPDK and ODP.
- Develop and maintain management interfaces including CLI, APIs, SSH access, logging, diagnostics, and telemetry frameworks.
- Implement and enhance security technologies including SSL/TLS, IPSec, SAML, PKI, and certificate lifecycle management.
- Develop cybersecurity features such as Deep Packet Inspection (DPI), Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS), malware protection, URL filtering, and content categorization.
- Architect scalable, secure, and highly available solutions with clustering, HA, licensing, and secure coding best practices.
- Optimize system performance and troubleshoot complex networking and security issues using tools such as GDB, Wireshark, and Valgrind.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams on architecture, security, product enhancements,



and vulnerability remediation.

Expertise You'll Bring:

- 8+ years of hands-on experience in C/C++ systems programming on Linux or embedded platforms.
- Strong understanding of networking protocols across L3-L7, including TCP/IP, routing, switching, SSL/TLS, and IPSec.
- Extensive experience in data-plane development and packet processing optimization.
- Deep knowledge of Linux internals, multithreading, concurrency, and high-performance application development.
- Experience developing CLI tools, APIs, telemetry solutions, logging frameworks, and SSH-based management interfaces.
- Strong understanding of security architecture, authentication mechanisms, PKI, and certificate management.
- Hands-on experience with Firewall, NGFW, DPI, IPS, malware protection, and web/content filtering technologies.
- Excellent debugging, troubleshooting, and performance tuning skills.
- Proven ability to design scalable systems and provide technical leadership.
- Expert-level C/C++ programming and systems development expertise.
- Deep understanding of cybersecurity and firewall technologies.
- Strong experience with packet processing frameworks such as DPDK/ODP.
- Advanced knowledge of Linux and embedded operating systems.
- Expertise in network security protocols, authentication, and encryption technologies.
- Ability to architect secure,



scalable, and highly available networking solutions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities in complex real-time environments.
- Leadership skills with the ability to mentor engineers and drive technical discussions.
