Position: Senior Merchandiser – Export

Department: Export Merchandising

Reporting To: Management / Head – Export

Job Purpose To independently manage international buyer accounts from enquiry and product development through order execution and shipment while ensuring commercial, quality and delivery requirements are achieved.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

- Handle international buyer enquiries and day-to-day buyer communication.
- Understand product specifications, construction, fabric, colour, size, packaging and compliance requirements.
- Coordinate product development and sampling with Design, Production and Quality teams.
- Prepare costing sheets and support price quotations and commercial negotiations.
- Review purchase orders and confirm quantity, price, specifications and delivery dates.
- Prepare and control order-wise Time & Action plans.
- Coordinate fabric, trims, accessories and packaging requirements with Purchase and Production.
- Monitor sampling, approvals, production, quality inspection, packing and shipment.
- Communicate production status and approval requirements to buyers professionally.
- Coordinate lab dips, artwork, labels, packaging, testing and buyer approvals where applicable.
- Anticipate production or shipment delays and implement corrective follow-up.




- Coordinate with Export Documentation/Logistics for shipment schedules and required documents.
- Maintain buyer-wise order, costing, sample and shipment records.
- Guide Junior Merchandisers and monitor their order follow-up activities.
- Support development of new products and recent export business opportunities.
- Ensure buyer satisfaction through Quality, Cost, Communication and On-Time Delivery.

Qualification: Degree / Diploma in Textile Technology, Fashion Technology, International Business or related discipline. Experience: 5–8+ years in export merchandising, preferably home textiles.

Required Skills: Strong buyer communication, costing, negotiation, product development, T&A; management, home-textile product knowledge, export documentation awareness, Excel/ERP and leadership.

Candidate Location Requirement

Candidates from Karur and surrounding Karur areas only should apply.

Preference will be given to candidates who are currently residing in Karur or nearby areas and can commute to the Manmangalam workplace regularly.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹38,000.00 per month
