Responsibilities

Core Supervisory & Leadership Duties

- Staff Management : Supervise, mentor, and coordinate the work of junior technicians, assistants, and recent recruits.
- Training & Development : Conduct technical training sessions and ensure staff adhere to established laboratory safety protocols.
- Workflow Oversight : Manage daily workloads, assign tasks, and maintain operational efficiency to meet clinical demands.

Advanced Testing & Analysis
- Diagnostic Procedures : Perform and oversee complex clinical determinations across disciplines like biochemistry, hematology, microbiology, and immunology.
- Result Verification : Confirm, verify, and interpret test findings before reporting critical data to clinicians and physicians.
- Method Development : Assist in planning, developing, and updating standard operating procedures (SOPs)



for new or existing lab tests.

Quality Control & Equipment Maintenance
- Quality Assurance (QA) : Actively participate in or lead the lab’s quality assurance program, analyzing control charts and validating test accuracy.
- Troubleshooting : Identify and resolve equipment malfunctions or inconsistencies in test outcomes.
- Calibration & Upkeep : Operate, calibrate, and schedule preventative maintenance for automated analyzers, microscopes, and centrifuges.

Inventory & Administrative Management
- Supplies Monitoring : Track stock levels, manage inventory of reagents and consumables, and generate purchase requisitions.
- Data Integrity : Maintain secure, accurate archives of patient data, test logs, and quality control records.
