We are looking for an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer Procurement & QA/QC to join our team in Kochi, India.

The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical engineering background combined with hands-on experience in technical procurement, QA/QC, tendering, bid preparation, technical documentation, vendor coordination, and client communication. The role will support international projects and procurement activities, particularly within the Oil & Gas, Energy, EPC and industrial sectors.

Key Responsibilities

- Review RFQs, ITBs, tender documents, specifications, datasheets, drawings and other technical documentation received from clients.
- Understand client technical requirements and identify suitable manufacturers, suppliers and technical solutions.
- Prepare and review technical and commercial bids in coordination with procurement and commercial teams.
- Perform technical evaluation of supplier quotations and ensure compliance with client specifications.
- Prepare technical bid evaluations, compliance statements, deviation lists and technical clarifications.
- Review vendor documentation, datasheets, drawings, material certificates, inspection reports, test certificates and other QA/QC documents.
- Coordinate with manufacturers and suppliers regarding technical queries, documentation, inspections, testing and delivery requirements.
- Ensure supplied materials and equipment comply with applicable project specifications, international standards, codes and QA/QC requirements.
- Review documentation such as MTCs, EN 10204 certificates, ITPs, QAPs, WPS/PQRs, inspection reports,



FAT documentation and vendor data books, where applicable.
- Support vendor qualification and technical assessment of new manufacturers and suppliers.
- Coordinate with clients on technical queries, document submissions, approvals and clarifications.
- Follow up on technical documentation throughout the procurement cycle, from RFQ and purchase order through manufacturing, inspection and final delivery.
- Assist with resolving technical discrepancies, NCRs, documentation issues and supplier non-conformities.
- Maintain proper records and ensure timely submission of project and procurement documentation.
- Work closely with international procurement, sales, logistics, commercial and project teams.

Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution.
- Minimum 4–5 years of relevant professional experience.
- Strong experience in procurement and QA/QC within Oil & Gas, EPC, Energy, Petrochemical or similar industrial sectors.
- Experience reviewing mechanical equipment and materials such as valves, piping, fittings, pumps, pressure equipment, rotating equipment and other mechanical packages is highly desirable.
- Good understanding of international engineering standards such as API, ASME, ASTM,



ANSI, ISO and EN.
- Previous experience with tendering, estimation, bidding and preparation of technical offers.
- Ability to read and understand engineering specifications, datasheets and drawings.
- Strong technical document review and document-control skills.
- Experience communicating directly with clients, manufacturers, suppliers and inspection agencies.
- Excellent written and spoken English is mandatory.
- Solid Microsoft Excel, Word and general computer skills.
- Ability to manage multiple RFQs and projects simultaneously and work within tight tender deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify technical deviations or inconsistencies before submission to clients.
- Commercial awareness and understanding of the complete procurement cycle will be an advantage.

Preferred Profile We are particularly interested in candidates who have worked with an EPC contractor, Oil & Gas supplier/trading company, engineering procurement company, equipment manufacturer or technical procurement organization and understand both the engineering and commercial sides of procurement.

The successful candidate should be comfortable taking ownership of an RFQ from the initial technical review through supplier sourcing, technical evaluation, bid preparation, client clarification, purchase order execution, QA/QC documentation and final delivery.

This is a Kochi-based position and will involve regular coordination with our international offices, clients and suppliers.
