Role Level: Sr. Manager

A. Job Purpose

Lead and manage supply chain operations at Frontline Stores (FLS) to ensure seamless material availability, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency in support of aircraft maintenance.

Accountable for inventory integrity, AOG responsiveness, warehousing standards, and cross functional coordination while driving governance, process adherence, and continuous improvement.

B. Key Accountabilities

Strategic Activities

Develop and implement strategies, policies, and procedures for the productive operation of the frontline store.

Functional Activities

- Engineering Stores Operations & Compliance
- Ensure full compliance with OEM / Regulatory standards for storage, handling, and traceability of aviation materials.
- Maintain Stock room control o Environmental conditions (temperature, humidity)

o Access control (authorized personnel only)

o Material segregation (Serviceable, Unserviceable, Aircraft vs Non-Aircraft, DG, ESDS)

- Enforce system-driven material movements (AMOS-based with pick slips, dispatch notes,

approvals).

- Ensure 100% adherence to shelf-life control, including proactive removal of expiring items.
- Conduct regular audits, spot checks, and compliance reviews, ensuring closure of observations.
- Maintain housekeeping, safety, firefighting readiness, and infrastructure compliance.
- Ensure high inventory accuracy (system vs physical) through periodic cycle counts & audits.
- Monitor:

o Critical / NO-GO rotables availability o Fast-moving and critical consumables o Shelf-life and obsolescence controls

- Implement robust inventory control practices (FIFO / ABC classification).
- Drive reduction in inventory discrepancies, variances, and aging stock.
- Implement best practices, develop standard operating procedures (SOPs), and lead process optimization initiatives to enhance store operations.
- Material Support to Maintenance Operations
- Ensure timely material support to Line & Base Maintenance, including AOG/critical requirements.
- Drive proactive demand planning and material pre-loading based on maintenance schedules.
- Ensure:

o Real-time system capture of issuance & retrieval o Timely return and inspection of tools, rotables,



and equipment o Customer Induced Damage (CID) identification and documentation (including photographic evidence)

- Enforce accountability for non-retrieval and delays through escalation matrix.
- Coordinate authorized inter-airline / MRO loan transactions through AOG desk controls.
- Ensure timely support to AIESL / maintenance partners for scheduled and unscheduled tasks.
- Monitor and control:
- Material issuance & retrieval compliance
- Unserviceable material identification and routing
- Data plate documentation and damage reporting
- Ensure proper tagging, packaging, and dispatch readiness to prevent damage and ensure traceability.
- Outstation Receipt, Dispatch & Logistics Management
- Ensure time-bound and error-free dispatch/receipt operations, including outstation coordination.
- Enforce IATA DGR compliance for Dangerous Goods shipments.
- Ensure:

a. Complete documentation and AMOS transactions b. Proper packaging to avoid transit damage (CID control)

c. Real-time coordination with consignee stations

- Drive AOG shipment prioritization and connectivity, including coordination with external carriers.
- Ensure strict closure of discrepancies through structured follow-ups.
- Manpower & Resource Management
- Provide guidance and leadership to the team working in the stores, ensuring they have the necessary resources, training, and support to perform their roles effectivelyty.
- Ensure:

a. Optimized manpower deployment & rostering b. Training and capability development c. Compliance with attendance, leave, and HR systems

- Manage resources including consumables, equipment, and vendor services.
- Ensure all the staff must be assigned & complete mandatory trainings for the staff.
- Safety & Risk Management
- Adherence to company safety policy across all store operations.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols, incident reporting, and preventive measures.
- Daily Monitoring of Reports and review
- Material pre-loading status
- Availability of Critical / NO-GO Rotables at FLS

Inventory Management

- Inventory accuracy (AMOS vs Physical)
- Critical stock availability (NO-GO items)
- Reduction in customer induced damage (CID)
- Ensure timely dispatch & retrieval of material as per the maintenance requirement
- Timely disposal of shelf life expiry material

Support To Maintenance Team

- Maintenance support effectiveness - Timely issuance of material to maintenance team
- Reduction in maintenance delays due to material issues
- Preloading of material as per the maintenance activities.

Compliance and Quality Assurance

- Zero major audit findings (DGCA/EASA/IOSA)
- Timely closure of audit observations (ATR compliance)
- Compliance with regulatory guidelines / MOE / ESM.

E. Key Interfaces

Internal Interfaces

- Collaborate with functional team heads, including material procurement,

maintenance planning, quality assurance, line maintenance, training team to ensure smooth operations from front line stores.

External Interfaces

- Loan coordination with other MROs
- Coordinate with external vendor & service providers for successful execution of tasks

F. Educational and Experience Requirements

Minimum Education requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Supply Chain Management,

Logistics, Business Administration / AME Diploma

Experience

Minimum

- 8-10 years of experience in

Engineering stores management of an Airline /

MRO, inventory control, or warehouse operations.

Desired

- 10+ years of experience in stores management, inventory control, or warehouse operations
- Strong expertise in aviation inventory & warehouse management
- Good knowledge of AMOS
- Good knowledge of aviation regulatory framework.
