Senior Manager – R&D; – Fabrication & Heavy Fabrication

Key Responsibilities –

Recent Product Development (NPD)

Lead end-to-end NPD projects for fabricated and heavy-fabricated products, from concept, feasibility and design through prototype, trials, validation and production release.

Drive product cost, quality, manufacturability and development timelines.

Fabrication & Heavy Fabrication Engineering

Lead engineering activities related to heavy structures, welded assemblies, frames, pressure/non-pressure fabricated components and complex structural products.

Optimize welding processes, material selection, fabrication methods, tolerances and assembly techniques.

Design & Product Innovation

Drive new product concepts, value engineering, design improvements and technology development.

Review drawings, GD&T;,



BOMs and engineering specifications to ensure manufacturability and performance.

Prototype, Testing & Industrialization

Manage prototype fabrication, testing, validation and engineering trials in coordination with Production, Quality, Purchase and Projects.

Ensure successful transfer of developed products from R&D; to mass/serial production with robust process documentation.

Team & Cross-Functional Leadership

Lead the R&D; engineering team and coordinate with Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain and Sales/Projects for successful product development.

Establish project milestones, monitor NPD KPIs, resolve technical issues and ensure timely completion of development projects.
